I said it before and I'll say it again. I predict she's going to make a run for it before the child comes. The trick is to escape both the body guards and the "minders" assigned to her from the Church of Scientology. You know she's not free to leave of her own will at this point, and will only be able to do so if she's either clever enough to escape or is "kidnapped" by her own family. I understand they've been trying to get her to leave him and have the child back at home with them.

This reminds me of when Halle Berry kept talking up her plans to do a Catwoman sequel. It's either some flagrant form of denial that they could be associated with such a monstrous flop, or they think the masses are so dumb as to not know the film was a complete and utter failure.

As we look at history, the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima remains justified, as the massive death was still paltry compared to the amount of death that would have been caused by a protracted invasion of Japan. Sometimes violence is supported by bean counting. Doesn't mean we will rest easy with the thought, and it doesn't mean the afterlife will be any kinder to us for making those kinds of decisions, but this is perhaps the ultimate example that answers the question.

Parts of Superman Returns will have 3D in the Imax presentation. Story here.

I'm curious about what visual cue will tell you to put your glasses on. Now, they could go with a simple obnoxicon in the lower corner like Supes putting on his glasses to become Clark and vice versa. But wouldn't it be WAY COOL if it was woven into the story, so that everytime Clark took his glasses off you put yours on?

Don't knock it till we at least learn the plotline. Hopefully The Simpsons, like South Park before it, will make it well worth our effort to watch. Even if it just means we hear "rim job" being defined on screen.

Meanwhile ... Superman better not suck. I said this about Spider-Man and about Batman Begins and was pleased both times. Hopefully this movie will work, though I'm still pissed from a Smallville perspective at a minimum and skeptical about the cast.

If I can accept Catherine Zeta-Jones after she shacked up with Michael Douglas then I can still accept Katie too. She's just a poor lost soul, a deer in headlights, who is probably trying to find a way out but is constantly under guard from Tom's and CoS' hired goons. So I'll gladly watch clips and stills from The Gift or whatever. Anything to remember the Katie that was.

I half expect her to make a break for it in the middle of the night, 38 weeks pregnant, to escape their vile clutches. You know, if they aren't married, she has every legal right to keep him from ever seeing the child if she so desires. Once their married, that door closes.

I'm not gonna watch M:I 3.

For anybody interested, here are the three shots of Shaw that have been converted from PAL to NTSC and resized to match the dimensions of the official DVD. This may be the first post that actually addresses the original idea I put forth in the first post of this thread.

These replace the Hayden shots in NTSC perfectly.

Chyna, Xena or Famke would have been the shizznit for the role 10 years ago. They've peaked. Jennifer Connoly would look the part if she still had the boobs she had 15 years ago. Wherever did those puppies go? Sandra Bullock was always a dumb choice. I can see Kate B. doing this as well, but the choice isn't inspired.

And that's the problem. Nobody sounds to be an inspired choice. There isn't really any known actress that just blows me away as the perfect choice. They'd be better off finding an unknown and making her a star. If Joss Whedon is doing this film, what are the odds he's gonna pick Summer Glau? I'd might put money on that bet. And she's just unknown enough to bring no baggage, yet has a healthy working relationship with Joss as an ass-kicking femme fatale.
