I never was too clear about what to do with the two bonus discs. I kinda saw each disc as a bonus for each trilogy. Oh well.

Choose the point where you want the cut to happen and select "split" at that point. If you have all six tracks grouped, you'll split them all, so you'll have to hit the "unlocked" button on in the toolbar to ignore grouping, once the split is made, then hit that button again to keep future grouping together.

It'll take some time to get used to it. Play around and see what you can learn by experimentation. It's a great way to learn the program.

.M2V will need to be converted to AVI with AVISynth or some such tool. To do a whole film will take up an enormous amount of disk space. Just as a heads up.

.AC3 will need to be converted to separate WAV files using HypercubeTranscoder or some such utility for each channel per the guide.

Menu stills were a two-layer of photos from the official menu before and after the logo appears. From there I think Krone was the font I used. I used this same formula on all of my SW edits. Simple and very tiny footprint to leave as much room for video as possible on the SL discs.

What I'd love is for others to embellish the Heresy mix and keep it going. Of course, version control would be chucked out the window, but it would be powerfully funny to hear what others can cook up.

I've considered doing it on other films as well. ANH was so ripe for the picking because of it's popularity. I've been making peanut gallery comments during that movie for years and years now.

It's your one stop shopping mall for everything you're hoping to do. It's not cheap, but it's about 1/3 the price of Premiere I think.

Lady Liberty ... 'scuse me ... Lady Gotham was also in Batman Forever.

She also featured prominently in Remo Williams.

Both are guilty pleasures for me, but I recognize they are two more critical failures.

The details of what all DE did are in this thread. I assume these are the kinds of details you want to know.

As for me, it was little more of a re-editing of DE's work, putting some SE stuff back in that had been removed. DE's original work is even closer to the OT with sensible fixes.

I haven't yet seen your edit but I'm hoping that works itself out in due time. Meanwhile, I'm considering my own hybrid edit of the Lynch and Smithee editions in hopes of taking advantage of the new anamorphic releases. I haven't attempted to manipulate video yet, but how did you fix the blue-within-blue eyes where necessary? Care to share any trade secrets? Any freeware or trialware programs that can do this? Is there any list of the scenes where this oversight happened to make access a bit quicker?

I'm also hoping to restore some of the deleted scenes that are in neither cut (I'll have to upsample them to anamorphic but I've gotten pretty good at that lately), use Irulan's (extended) intro and voiceovers, cut out some of the outright wrong fx shots, and who knows what from there. Right now it's only an idea in my head and nothing more. I'm still jonesing to see your cut. It sounds wayyyyyyy cool.

I think they all are valid. That's what makes it a cool title, and frankly a better one than Revenge of the Jedi. That was a wise decision.

Return of the Sith would have been a cool title for Episode I. It would have bookended the saga perfectly AND would have been a stronger title.

Yep, he bites it in this one. Recasting at this point would have been a huge mistake. Personally I always wanted to see Jason Carter in the role, but Oldman has done great so far, as if he could do anything other.
