I found a VHS copy of Episode III online.

Could these be sourced and made into DVDs instead of some bootleg source?

also, in case Episode III isn't available and I am just dillusional... my friend has an old bootleg copy (don't worry he owns the official DVD) that was pretty ****ing clean and was released a month before the DVD. Could this be the theatrical one or is it more likely the DVD screener or some ish?

Thanks in advance

I have the Japanese NTSC DVD.

Isn't Bruce Lee In G.O.D. a documentary stylized film about Bruce Lee and not the actual Game of Death movie?

I didn't know there was anything I could use from it.

Can't you pan the image upwards a little to get the subtitles to fit? Or, maybe zoom it out just a little (leaving small black bars on the sides might put a lot of people off though). Too bad they decided to shoot that footage in 4:3.
But I'm wondering... did the storyline footage really have burned in subtitles? I'm going to have to check my R2, because I don't think it does, as it's got subtitles for many languages.

If you could tell me how to pan the video upward or downward that would be cool. My copy of the storyline footage has the subtitles burned into the film, but if you have a copy that does not have the subtitles and you could send it that would be cool. I just want to get rolling with this cause I have other things I want to work on.

Thanks

Idea: Star Wars Revenge of Jedi Idea
Time

I’ve recently checked out the Star Wars Edits section of this site after a long time of not thinking about more edits of Star Wars movies when I saw some topics on Crawl recreations and whatnot. I was thinking if it would be possible to recreate the Return of the Jedi Crawl to just say Revenge of the Jedi. This could be done to the 2006 edition of the movie I guess (an anamorphic one would be better I suppose). I have no idea about making title crawls… I was just making a suggestion. Let me know what you guys think…

peace

Yeah, its easy to sound like you're doing a good job.. that is why I am getting ready for an angry mob when everyone sees it

All I can do really is try to match the quality and color of the video a little better and add the Subs at the bottom of the screen... when it comes to the ones that are there I mean it will look ok if I add the rest of the subs but for the ones that are half on screen half off there is nothing I can do... so bear with me... this edit is meant to be a tribute to Lee and the closest thing to a reconstruction of his original script as possible... thank you all for the support... life has been so much funner since I found out about fan edits and ish....

Well, I guess all I can do really is just leave the subtitles as they are and write the rest of them under and if any of them are cut off add them at the bottom as well. I am waiting on a R1 copy of Game of Death (mine is R3) but once I get that I can start editing the video altogether. I plan to get that done rather quickly if I can just get a little more experience with Final Cut and my sister who is a photographer is going to create a new opening title sequence using Adobe Photoshop and then I'll edit the audio and ish. For the DVD I was going to use iDVD but I have a copy of DVD Studio Pro over at my job so I may use that. I have some of the Bruce Lee Longstreet Footage and I plan to make a trailer for the DVD. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

I don't want to dissapoint with this DVD, although I guess I really can't cause it is my own creation, it is just, since this is my first edit if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please PLEASE let me know...

thanks

Sorry in advanced for the fact that these are screen captures of my whole screen instead of just the video but I was in a rush

Shot of the Regular Real Bruce Lee footage.

Shot of normal Fake Bruce Lee footage.

Shots of Fake Lee footage letterboxed.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1371/7140108/13653301/203563688.jpg

Any suggestions, my only idea now is to just add the rest of the subtitles under the ones that are visible and for ones that are partially cut of to just rewrite them under that.

I am at work right now but when I get home I will post screen caps showing the difference between the real Bruce Lee footage and the fake. I'll also post pictures of the scenes from the fake Bruce Lee footage where the subtitles can be seen and I will circle what exactly is seen. Thanks in advance everyone!!

Well, Final Cut ain't too bad, it is a lot like iMovie, just more in depth. So I need some input on what I should do. Like I said, the footage of Bruce Lee is 4:3 letterbox and the footage from the GOD storyline is just fullscreen. Now I could crop it, however, some of the subtitles from the GOD storyline can still be seen above the letterbox bar on the bottom of the screen. I don't know if I can stretch the video so that it will not be a problem or if I can resize the video and load it widescreen and save it letterboxed. I want the film to look like a film (as much as it can at least - we are talking about footage from the 70s mixed with footage from the 90s) and I want to make the video look as nice as possible. This is my first time dabbling in Final Cut, like I said I usually use iMovie, but if I could get some help I could probably get this done a lot quicker. Thanks for the feedback in advance and once again ASH, that cover looks awesome so far! Thank YOU!

Wow! It has been a while. Well, updates I guess would be a good place to start. I got Final Cut Pro working. I've been at school for audio recording and working at Jackie the Jokeman's (from Howard Stern) studio. I haven't had the time really. But now I finally do.... Anywho, I loaded the clips into Final Cut and started marking in/out points and began loading all the clips into the timeline. I am finished with the credits, I have my sister working on the intro using Photoshop and iMovie, and I still need to rip the ending fight from the real Game of Death dvd. I can have this done eventually, the only problem I have is involved with resizing the video and cropping it. Now, the ending Bruce Lee footage is letterboxed (4:3 but appears widescreen) and the rest of the footage is just 4:3. Now the footage from the GOD Storyline has subtitles burned into it, and I either wanted to resize the video and make the two match or resize it and crop it so that the subtitles are no longer there and I can add them in later. Now I have my Mac with final cut and imovie, ffmpegxx or whatever it is called, Mac the Ripper, and a few other programs, I also have a PC and am will to do some of the editing on that if I must. This is my first fan edit, so some feedback and help would be hugely appreciated, if I need to PM anyone for help or anything let me know. I'll keep working... thanks in advance...

The thing is, the glasses were perfectly comfortable, and when I say they are nerdy its just cause the lenses are big and silly looking. Something cool about them, if you look at someone you see your reflection, but if you're wearing them and look at someone with them on you can see through the lenses. The movie also did not really blur that much at all and it wasn't too bad on the eyes, every maybe 45 min to an hour you may have to take them off for a second.
