Also if you compair the colour of the death star walls with the old and new versions, you can see quite a difference.

Exactly. The Star Wars Trilogy should get this treatment, all in a nice shiny (and stylish) tin box, with a big fat book and shitloads of extras.

I totally agree. However, if George released all these goodies, he would have nothing left. He needs to save stuff and leave room for improvements for future money, err, I mean releases.

BTW, I cannot wait for this release!!!

On another note. Do you think this announcement was released early to divert attention away from the DVD fiasco?

The Celebration IV announcement is being made a year in advance to give fans worldwide a chance to plan for a week-long "Destination: Star Wars" blow-out in Los Angeles.

Yes I have them also! The storybooks and the read-along cassettes are different. I have the read-alongs as well.

I remember getting the storybooks through school. You could order a crap load of books at a discounted price. One year I got the SW storybook, then as they came available, I got ESB & ROTJ. Wow, memories!

Got to go. I have some reading to do!

The more I think about it, the more I think it should be made clear that the fans are upset about the lack of anamorphic format. Leave the delicate restoration part to people that care about the originals. Better safe than sorry.

I agree. I think a lot of people are thinking this what we are complaining about. It is not.

Given that the O-OT is relegated to a bonus feature in the new collection, will the disc even have chapter stops, menus or subtitles?

I'm sure it will have menus. They will be showing off the new Lego game, probably some other game, a few tasteless recommendations, and the OOT will be burried somewhere under the 'crap' menu.
