But how will we ever know if Vader or Boba are feeling emotions if they’re not having an anime-style meltdown!
Wait there’s tentacle porn in the new Marvel comics? No thank you!

…adding that “No!” to Vader at the end of Jedi was a masturstroke, now we really know how he felt…

Over the summer I’m going to be reading Star Wars novels. Here are a few small reviews of newer canon ones:
Lords of the Sith
Meh, not very well written and Vader’s characterization and dialogue didn’t suit him. The story was also pretty lame and the characters’ names were odd (ex: Pok, Cham) pretty disappointed in this one.
Smuggler’s Run
Really easy read, it’s not labeled as a kid’s book though. Not a very interesting story and was mainly used as a tease for TFA.
So far I’m pretty disappointed with the new canon. I’ll be checking out Aftermath soon which seems the most interesting and I hope it’s good. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Some of the dialogue doesn’t suit him but remember this takes place like 5 years post ROTS so his character isn’t going to be exactly like the Vader we see in Rebels and in the OT.
I’d love for the new canon to tell a story set in between ROTS and Tarkin/LOTS. I want to see ships that are in between V-Wings and TIE fighters, in between Venators and Imperial-class Destroyers, etc.

I got that but it still feels wrong. He is referred to as “Vader” but nearly every line of dialogue is impossible to imagine with James Earl Jones’ voice. Instead, Christensen keeps coming to mind.

I didn’t care for aftermath. It felt a lot like bad fan fiction as opposed to a proper Star Wars novel. If you haven’t yet, I’d recommend reading Lost Stars if you want to restore your faith in the new canon.
Finished aftermath, it was alright. I liked the writing but the story itself didn’t do it for me. It’s a trilogy now though so I’ll still read the rest of them.
Bloodline is pretty good though, the politics and “boring” stuff is actually handled pretty well.

I haven’t touched the aftermath stuff, but I loved Bloodline (I listened to it as an Audiobook.) Casterfo is a great character, Leia’s disillusionment with the Republic is given plausible reasoning, the fact the First Order was able to grow to the size it is in the movies is given a decent explanation (Though I do not know how plausible the scheme is). That it helps set up what the OT characters were doing before everything went South is a nice plus.
I honestly believe this book should be read by everyone who wants to understand the direction the Sequel Trilogy might take, and why things are the way they are. Supposedly Rian Johnson helped set up the Centrist/Populist divide, so how it plays into Ep VIII remains to be seen.

I actually heard him say that on one of the panels on YouTube in Celebration Europe. It’s actually really cool. I like it.

^ Bringing back an idea from the 1975 third draft maybe? In that version bonding with a Kiber Crystal was how Jedi first opened themselves to the Force IIRC.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

So if a wasp stings a Jedi on the ass as he’s constructing his lightsaber, the blade’ll turn out red? Of will it just be tinged purple/reddish green?
reddish green?
Yellow, the color is yellow

When I say reddish green, I mean reddish green.
When I say reddish green, I mean reddish green.
That’s already my actual lightsaber color, you just can’t percieve it yet. Only Level 12 Meta-Chlorine Wizards™ such as myself can visualize such hues in nature.
.
I’m pretty sure it’s more connected to the “soul” of the Jedi rather than how they felt at the time.
