Someone add me to their American NTSC list please?

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

I sent out 20 copies at my expense to 6 different countries. Please do your bit and send someone a copy. Thanks.

Sluggo if nobody comes through for you, I will try my best.

Thank you!

Thanks, once a NTSC version is made I'll be all set! Also helping to feed the Demons with the PAL copy.

Parts 5 & 6 are showing complete in my newsreader. (but everyone is different) The PARs should be able to fix two incomplete parts.  Otherwise purge your downloaded message headers and redownload them, could find the full version.  Especially if you downloaded the headers as they were being posted.

Ok, got that fixed with the parts 5 and 6.

However now I have problems with parts 46 through 49. 4 in a row and the pars won´t fix that. Any suggestions?

I tried two differen newsreaders, but they won´t get the full rars for parts 46 through 49. Sorry, I am no expert in newsgroups

Is there anyone else with the tools to do the NTSC conversion or is zeppelinrox the only one who can do it?

The upload at Demonoid appears to contain the RAR files straight from the newsgroup posting. You should be able to pick up the missing files from that torrent.

I have the tools to do it, but it might be better for continuity's sake if zeppelinrox does it again.  I think the audio is the questionable thing.  Did zeppelinrox go interview-by-interview to fix all of the portions that are affected by PAL-speedup, or were the entire audio tracks slowed down to match the NTSC video?

Well, the film audio itself suffers from pal speedup, whereas other audio clips might not.  I can't think of a very good way to fix this other than going in and adjusting the pitch of every alternate audio clip individually.  My guess is that it would be easiest to ignore the changes in pitch and just correct the audio to fit the NTSC version.

I have found the mouse droid reference and it was my bad. The droid was conceived from a recast of one of Artoos by John Stears. It was not, as I hastily stated, a simple recast of his middle foot... Doh.

I must have been bloody tired.

I have the PAL version now. Only had a quick glance for now, but it works very well on my $14.44 DVD player. :)

I'll definitely be grabbing the [probably forthcoming someday] NTSC as well, as I can play it on any player here (no speedup either, obviously) and I like to have both versions of these in order to give people I want to share them with the option.

Fantastic to hear this is complete -- can't wait to see how the final full Jabba scene looks.

Are people in the US actually finding DVD players that will handle PAL?  I know PAL/NTSC players are a dime a dozen in the UK, but here in the States we apparently don't think PAL exists.  Some years back when I was looking for a NTSC/PAL player, I found that no retailer actually seemed to carry them...unless you special-ordered online.

I tend to watch all my PAL discs through a PC anyway, so it's not a big deal for me.

I've got a cheap DVD player that plays PAL just fine, but I upgraded to a fancy player with the 5.1 speakers and the thing won't play the PALs.  Then again, neither will my PS3.  I wonder if an upgrade could fix that...

My old JVC DVD player handled PAL just fine.  I haven't tried on my LG blu yet.

^I'd love an Oppo, but the shipping would probably kill it.

I find that most cheap players nowadays will play PAL. They just don't advertise it, just as they won't say that their player is region free. If you see one somewhere and are not sure, there are some sites where you can look it up and even add a code to unlock it and such. That's what I did with mine.

This is what I've been worrying about.

My PS3 plays both PAL and NTSC. Hmm.

Wait.. what? How is this possible? Mine can't. Did you customize your PS3 somehow?

EDIT: Oh and sorry, forgot to mention but I loved Star Wars Begins. I saw it on Youtube.
