Aren’t there horses in the Ewok adventures? Camels seem to be a similar case - a compromise due to budget constraints whereas an imagined creature such as a Tauntan or a Bantha would be preferred. It’s hard to imagine keeping a camel in the movie when it’s so easy to alien-ify it.

Ewok sized ponies, IIRC.

Go in knowing they’re aimed at kids, (although the second one gets kind of dark) and are nebulous as to where they fit in continuity, and they can be enjoyable. I’d love to see Frink do something with them though.

“Introducing Jyn Erso” Featurette

Not a lot of new stuff here, but I did find this one BTS shot both interesting and weird.

In addition to the fact that those weird red-hooded monks that we saw a photo of earlier will very likely be a bit more than just background characters, there’s also some camels. Just regular real-life camels, nothing fancy added to them that I can see. I guess they might replace them with some CG creatures, and the SW-universe has had regular birds, lizards, snakes, etc. so I guess this isn’t that strange. Any thoughts?

Yeah those Camels are being replaced by those Daliesque Long legged things seen in the Star Wars Atlas I think…

^from a few pages back.

The Ghost ship was put in by John Knoll it’s only a nod. And he confirmed it.

Probably worth mentioning at this point that some cross between a horse and a giraffe figures into Episode 8. 😉

IMAX TV Spot - The POWAH we are dealing with here is… Awesome? I think I prefer immeasurable. couple of new shots in it though. The Blood / graze has gone from the soldiers head again… Let’s put my little pony back on.

I fear the marketing campaign for this film could be very misleading as we are being shown 2 versions of the film in the trailers and my worst fears are we are going to get something that is not what was marketed for far longer until recent developments.

I bought my ticket to go next week I decided I could not wait until after Christmas could very well be my last ticket to a Star Wars film under Disney. It’s make or break time. I won’t be going to see episode 8 just not interested so I have 2 years to wait unless this is a clanger then I Bailing out!!! (actually coming to think of it I’m not interested in a Han Solo movie either) So it’s all or nothing.

It’s very easy to take a still of someone mid-speech that looks totally silly. I don’t know what’s going on there, but I don’t see anything to worry about.

As for the rumored cameos, why would they have any Jar-Jars in the film at all? Even if they don’t speak? And who the hell is Bibble??

I understand but strongly dislike a number of the confirmed and rumored cameos. However, I can certainly see the business side of not wanting to alienate a huge portion of your potential revenue stream. Throwing a bone to the prequel fans is a smart business move. They, along with us, spend billions on the franchise every year. I can’t complain because Rogue One is clearly a giant soup bone for OT fans. Maybe even more so than The Force Awakens.

What I do find risky, if it’s true, is a cameo of Jar Jar. That may be the single most polarizing character in the history of any franchise. To put him back in a film where he clearly doesn’t belong seems like Messin’ With Sasquatch®.

Abrams decided against doing it in The Force Awakens, even in a way that was a wink to OT fans and a dig at prequel fans. Here’s hoping Edwards follows his lead and leaves him out entirely.

Hmmmm. I prefer a previous take of two lines from the trailers.

“The world is coming undone.”

The one from the first Offical trailer (after the teaser), is better IMO than the one in the IMAX tv spot.

“The power we are dealing with here is immeasurable”.

I prefer the original take over the “awesome” version.

Still really excited but am hoping that they don’t use the takes shown in the IMAX teaser.

Given the original source of the rumor, this could all just be to have fun pranking fans who don’t like the prequels.

A preview of the Rogue One score
http://www.ew.com/article/2016/12/09/rogue-one-star-wars-michael-giacchino-score?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter

I like it!

The score was one of the aspects I was most concerned about, especially since Giacchino ended up having so little time to come up with it. Sure, I’m gonna miss the familiar ‘main theme’ that normally accompanies the ‘scroll’…but these short snippets indicate that he’s managed to come up with something worth listening to.

Listening to it, it sounds like the Awesome line was a splice of two lines, and he sounds as uncomfortable delivering such cheese as it sounds to us. I do like the “Oh, it’s beautiful,” line, though it too sounds awkwardly delivered.

And I can tell with the K-2SO line that they are splicing lines together, as the “trust goes both ways” clip uses a very different line, and I doubt they’d change it so close to release.

Also, does the ad just sound… hollow? Like it feels like the sound was recorded from a speaker after the fact, or something.
