I get that but I’ve just about finished Season 1 of Breaking Bad over the past few weeks and it’s a great show.

Some bitch I went to high school just posted some bullshit on Facebook about how Hitler was actually just fighting the evil United States in order to protect the “real jews” who are the black israelite cultists.

LOL! That is so stupid, it’s funny.

Yeah it kind of is. I suspected it was just some insane trash she learned from her crazed friends, but apparently it’s an idea that’s really been making the rounds online. Either way, what a cunt! It’s a shame too, she was very nice back in the 1990s. Hopefully she’ll turn things around.

I can’t stand most modern dramatic TV shows. My parents are going through Homeland and Bloodline right now, and it’s just so much graphic death and sex and shit. Then there are things like Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Christ, it’s exhausting to watch. I just want to have fun and relax when I watch TV.
Some shows are indeed just plain dreadful because they think that makes them interesting, but other dark and depressing shows (like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones) are actually legitimately great simply because there’s actually real plotting and characterization - basically, there’s actually a story there beyond “what’s the most dark and depressing shit that can happen in 45 minutes?” In fairness if you don’t watch all these shows might seem to be the same in this regard but some are on a different wavelength (read: contain real storytelling) with others just copy the tone soullessly (read: cheap imitation).
When you see the shitty lifeless stuff it can seem pretty exhausting, but the other stuff is quite compelling.

What is true is that Hitler flirted with indulging the more extreme end of Zionism to speed up his goal of emptying Europe of all trace of the thousands of years of Jewish cultural influence. A handful of UK politicians brought this up in reference to any criticism of Israeli policy being called anti-Semitic. Which was called anti-Semitic and now there is a root and branch purge of antisemitism in the Labour party. No Hitler blamed Jews for just about anything that irritated him and used the people as a whole as a rallying point to steal land, steal gold, cement support through shared hatred and he would of turned on any Zionist he had made a deal with just as he turned on Stalin. Also not a great fan of Jews.

You could have made your point without using the c word.
Where were you in '77?
Yeah, probably. I find it hard to refrain from strong language when referring to Hitler sympathizers though. I felt kind of betrayed seeing as how she was always so nice to me in high school, but I guess somehow her mind got corrupted.

I’ve been watching far too many films considering that my exams are in two days and I really should be studying.

Doesn’t hurt that I lived in Albuquerque for 15 years and I keep seeing landmarks and references.
It’s one of the very few shows I liked from beginning to end!
Enjoy the ride!
Just wanted to give my thanks and gratitude to those that stormed the beaches at Normandy 72 years today, especially those that never made it off the beaches. The world owes you debt we can’t ever pay.
This thread is entering David Lynch levels of surrealness. Surely a contender for the most bizarre thread ever?
Too bad it isn’t longer.

Without a doubt one of the most heroic and wholly necessary military endeavors in human history.

I appreciate Davis’ profile picture. It works so well for the Politics thread.
Goddamn I miss weed…
Just thinking how underrated actor G.W. Bailey is. I like him in even the worst of movies.

Picked up an Eone triple feature blu-ray for $10 today. It has Kick-Ass, Lockout, and Dredd. Upon opening the case I realized that Dredd is actually a 2D/3D copy. $3.33 is pretty cheap for a good action flick in 3D.

Saw this advertised on tv today, and was amazed it wasn’t a joke.

It’s like one of the fake commercials Saturday Night Live is pretty good at. Putting insects in control of toy cars just seems like a recipe for the eventual conquest of our species.
I, for one, welcome our new cricket overlords.

It’s nice to see that they’ve kept Wes Craven’s executive producer credit on the new season of Scream. I think it’s a respectful thing to do and I hope that wherever he is he’s making sure they keep up the good work!

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.

I’m so glad Gawker Media is filing for chapter 11.
Hopefully the decent people there can find a new niche while the rest of them disappear forever.
