It kind of kills me how little effort they put into cleaning these up.
This is just two shots, but I threw this together in about 2 hours.
Imagine how much better it could look if they threw in half the effort with George's resources.

I apologize for not noticing this thread earlier. I'm a newbie to this forum.

MagnoliaFan, would you be interested in describing your method of clean-up in that thread?

It's funny, the scene with Vader contacting Luke/building the saber is the one that made it closest to being in the actual  movie but also feels like the most patchy, cobbled together scene out of the bunch to me. (Anybody else think the shot of Vader walking down the hall is actually the beginning of the Jerjerrod scene?)

That revamped bunker scene is actually pretty nicely done. The video seems to stutter a bit with the footage from the normal movie but all in all a good job. It's too bad he felt the need to insert a watermark in the corner though.

But it's so short, I wonder why it was cut!

That's what she said.

The ridiculous look on Harrison Ford's face as he said "Scum?" was probably overdoing it; it's a good thing that part was cut, as we'd already had enough jokes that Han was the butt of in the film.

Too bad the infirmary scene wasn't allowed to play longer. There were more changes as the scene progressed: Leia originally blamed Han being grounded on the discovery of the probe droid (which came before this scene originally). In the final version, Leia's voice going to ADR, and a cutaway to Chewie are the giveaways.

Yeah, that little part should stay cut out, but the rest of it is great stuff!

They sorely needed more scenes of rebel troops fighting, probably less of ewoks fighting.  But the things that stick out to me in that bunker scene is it's kinda silly for Han to run up and then just stand there in the open for a bit before the shooting starts.  And then having one rebel soldier cross over in front of Han, and Chewbacca crossing over behind.  Just doesn't seem how a swat team or whatever would use cover, but has that hokey Hollywood kinda feel to the squad tactics.  I know it's not Black Hawk Down or Band of Brothers, but still.

I honestly felt like the bunker scenes were bad takes and they just didn't "flow" or "move" correctly. They seemed clunky and claustrophobic and squeezed-in.

So is there a list of deleted scenes that still weren't included? I'm really surprised that the section of 21B removing the mask from Luke wasn't included.

"scum!?" Yeah, leave that out. But that was pretty cool and impressive. There's a other parts plus the "Scum" line that i don't think need to be in there.

I'd love to keep the Tosche Station scene if the acting wasn't so bad seeing as how it doesn't match Luke's personality later on in the movie.

There was on the thread I started, yes.

Where's that?

Anyway, yeah, it's a shame they didn't put more deleted stuff on the discs. Another disappointment, I suppose. Just look at the massive amount of goodies on Jambe's docs and think of how much they could've added... (I'm quite surprised the scene TMBTM mentioned—Han and Leia talking about 3PO missing, including the awesome line 'you should wear girls clothes all the time'—isn't included) A couple of dozen clips, many of which are merely interesting curiosities, sure aren't going to entice more people to buy the set, especially since we know exactly what's on them.

It's on this section a little lower not that far away, not sure why there was need for another thread for this but anyways.

I think that they could be made to flow much better if the cuts were trimmed a little bit here and there.

One thing I don't like is that Han is appearing too stressed and impatient and not as cool and in control as in the film, but that could be remedied by just silencing his lines. For instance, the line "Charges, come one, come one" could be changed into just "Charges".

That line was in the original film.... or am I missing the point here?

Some of the troopers falling over dead are just hysterical. Especially after they start piling up.

Disappointed the General Madine footage doesn't have this shot.

Couldn't you just post a link? That would be easier.

The second TPM deleted scene with the queen finding out that the droid control ship is down wasn't so bad. If the bluescreen could be refined it would help an edit that tries to focus Anakin as the hero by making that the final scene in the throne room rather than Padme being saved by her double...

the odd thing about some of these scenes though is it appears as though they were filmed on video. Look at the frame rate... or maybe this was somehow ripped at 120Hz? I don't know, I just know my monitor's refresh rate is 60 and something seems off.

Also some of these ROTS expanded Palpatine scenes could make Anakin's turn more convincing. It's only a shame there's the watermarks on them...
