I’ll wait for the bluray release to be sure about that :

But if you’re positive about it, ok I believe you. That’s weird in fact, in term of continuity, making a character being changed off screen. So that way 2 different action figures can be sold ?

I’m 100% positive. I thought I saw it the first time but wasn’t quite sure, but on subsequent viewings (I’ve seen it 4 times now) I saw that it definately was fixed back to gold by the end of the film. And I’m pretty sure I’ve seen someone else mention it on here too. Threepio also makes mention to BB-8 (I think) about getting his proper arm re-installed while he still has the red one at one point.

Throughout the film he keeps mentioning it and how he needs to fix it. Never noticed he did so offscreen at some point though.

Really? I remember only one time, the “you probably don’t recognize me” bit.

I’ll be honest, it’s very likely I’m mixing my memory of the film with Poe to the Rescue.

Threepio remarks to BB-8 that he needs to get his proper arm reinstalled on as they walk away from Han and Leia in that same scene. Very easy to miss (didn’t notice until I think the fourth time I saw it).

As for him getting the gold arm back, I’m 90% sure there’s a scene where that happens that was cut for pacing. The one thing that confuses me is why not digitally make Threepio’s arm red in that last shot of him? Because it’ll be strange if he’s back to golden arm next movie after spending the whole film with the red, but it’ll be a continuity error if he keeps the red.

Yet nobody noticed the silver leg was gone? 😉

I noticed, and it’s odd.

Disney considered it a significant enough part of him that he’s seen having it in Rebels, a good five years before the OT. I have to wonder how many years have to pass before he’s allowed to replace parts of the wrong colour.

Maybe the leg failed again and he hot another junk yard leg that happened to be gold.

Well, it has been thirty years. It’d be strange if he never got his leg fixed in all those years. The red arm is just there to suggest that bad stuff has been happening again recently, hence Threepio has gotten damaged recently and had a replacement arm. His fixed leg implies there being a somewhat more prosperous time at some point in between ROTJ and TFA (which would make sense, as I doubt that the First Order came out of the Empire immediately).

Lol. And look at his other browser tabs. The only Wikipedia page that begins with “Home bir” is “Home birth.” That’s a really odd porn fetish. Next to that is probably something to do with genetic recombination, a cloning method, and further down “ascension,” which would either be an island of the British Commonwealth or the ascension of Jesus.

Darth Maul is probably pretty angry to have lost his willy.

It is coming:

We know from Half in the Bag that the man behind Plinkett actually liked it, so it’s possible we may get another Trek 09 or Titanic -type review that focuses more on where it does and doesn’t work and not how it’s the worst thing since my son.

Ah yes, it is time once again to laugh when he makes fun of actual movie mistakes and (pizza) roll my eyes at gratuitous “I killed my ex-wife” jokes.

I didn’t hate TFA, but there’s plenty to Plinkett about.
I agree that it’ll probably be more like the Titanic review. I hope so.

Speaking of Plinkett, I’m working on edits of his PT reviews. My aim is to make them something my sister can watch while her kids are around. I’m cutting most of the swearing and tangents and sticking to the reviewing. This keeps them to the point and offers a shorter runtime while still being hilarious (a few jokes actually work better IMO).
This might not be for everyone, but I was wondering if anybody would be interested in them when I’m done.

Unfortunately we’ll have to wait for it to be released digitally and even then guessing by some of the comments it’ll still take a while for them to make it.

Absolutely there is; I cant wait for him to rip into Starkiller Base. I wish they would make a Plinkett review of ROTJ too because that movie debatably needs the Plinkett treatment even more.

I’m fine with the swearing, but the constant tangents on killing and enslaving women gets on my nerves. Every now and then I laugh at one but when every scene in a movie warrants a “this scene is a car crash… like the one I killed my wife in” line, I get annoyed.

As much as I really like TFA, I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t totally rip it to shreds at times (like Starkiller). I also wish he’d do the TOS Trek movies, almost all of them could use a good Plinketting.

Yeah even as someone who’s interested in that kind of stuff I think he goes overboard with it at times. But it usually doesn’t detract from the overall experience. But who knows maybe he’ll have it to where it’s basically nonexistent this time around.

I’m interested!

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

I think there will be a lot of discussing how much better TFA was than the prequels since in the trailer it mocks the millennial hipsters who are now claiming the prequels were secretly genius.
