Clone Wars - Ahsoka Tano: White SABER in Rebels Season 2:? Suggestions and thoughts?

Folks as I finish up Rebels Season 1, I already thinking of season 2.  There are verified sources that Ahsoka will use "white" light sabers in season 2.

This by far from what I have been reading is very controversial in the SW community and I would like your thoughts on the matter.

A lot of people, including my self think this was a decision based on the original Star Wars Conceptual art, that the Director of Rebels adopted from the photo below.

I am torn how to approach this. I do not like the color white, and I need to dig deep into research about what the color "white means."

Many claim the color white means the Jedi has no affiliation with the Sith or Jedi.  While when I was younger I thought the COLOR purple was for that meaning... Characters like MARA JADE.

When Season 2 releases on Blu-Ray, as usual I plan on rescoping the (THIN) sabers.  But I am not sure how to handle the color for Ashoka's Sabers.  They were green in the clone wars.  I was planning on restoring that color, but this is something I am looking for guidance on from all the best Star Wars fans in the world here at Original-trilogy.com  Should it be Purple? Not quite sure what to do here.

ANY IDEAS???

I've always wanted to see an edit of the films which makes Dooku's sabers white in order to show him as neither sith nor jedi so whilst I liked Ahsoka's previous lightsabers, I am fine with them being white.  However I agree with Smithers that once thickened you risk them looking a little iffy.  Perhaps do not change them and have hers left thinner in order to further emphasise the difference?

Lightsaber colours have no inherent meanings. Nuff said.

So a Jedi can have Red Sabers and a Sith can have blue now...lol

Why not?
All of the "bad guys" havin' to have "evil" red sabers is lame and cliche.
Vader has a red one in the OT, but I never thought it was because he was a bad guy or that the blue or green blades meant anything.
Actually, I think Vader would look cool with a blue one and Luke having a red one in Jedi would be awesome. Not because the color denotes anything, I'd just like it visually.
But, that ain't what this thread's about..

According to Filoni, the white color is a symbol of her disassociation with the Jedi Order after quitting. Also, she apparently got her new gear from an ancient Old Republic-era Jedi Temple

Filoni has gotten a lot of things wrong lately with rebels.  My son is a big fan of the clone wars series and the first thing he said to me is dad, "why are the sabers so thin and pointey?   He also mentioned that the storm trooper lasers looked lame compared to the clone wars seasons.  I would agree.

Season 2 rebels episode 2 miffed me the most when captain Rex fired his blaster and it was a bright blue laser with a clearly defined white core to it. (As if we were back to the clone wars).   Then it was back to the boring red lasers again with the storm troopers.  Not only are the lasers flat and boring, but they do not properly reflect environmental light as they did in the clone wars.

I am not going to buy Filoni's bullshit that "the technology was simply lost over the years (in the star wars universe). It's more of the lack of vfx from the original trilogy at the time. And Filoni is trying to recreate a look from dated special effects technology.  (80's star wars ect).  Over All SW Rebels is not doing as well in regards to TV ratings that the clone wars did. One could argue that the art direction was a big part of this...

Take a look at Star Wars battlefront and the stormtroopers lasers look as they did from the clone wars.

My point of all this is that this is an intentional Filoni "baloney" decision.  One that never would have been approved if he was back still in the skywalker ranch. George Lucus would not have approved of that decision as he was heavily policed in the Art direction of the clone wars.

Now since George sold his sole to Disney we will be looking at a lot of questionable art directions any future Star Wars related content.

I am willing to fix the light sabers for rebels, but I do not have enough time to fix the lasers. For my son well... He is going to have to work on his suspension of disbelief...

In 15+ years, and after being basically chased by the Jedi Order she would have plenty time and opportunity to get a new crystal.
