Not that this is even the place to discuss it but I would argue that scene is broken.

for the "Leia's mother / Padme"-Paradox: it all stands and falls with Luke's question "do you remember your mother?"
if one would cut that out, it just states as to why her foster-mother was sad => because she knew what happened to her mother ...
That's not a bad fix, but as always, I think it's better to change the PT to match the OT. No point in fixing something that ain't broke so it can try to fix something never worked.

@ray
I just think that some "problems" are beginning in the OT, see it as you will, but it is in these cases easier to "repair" the thing in the OT and accept the mess in the PT ...
wanted only to adress the question from "randomposter" ;-)
and now back on topic (and no more of the other crap *g*)
so thinking about the whole "Wampa affair" - will Ady insert the two scenes in the Echo base, the one where C3PO rips the sign and then the Snowtroopers get eaten by the Wampa ?

and/or (some of) the Wampa attack on the rebels ?

found an interesting concept art made by McQuarrie:

Adywan, whatever you do, don't die on us. :)
What the hell?
I meant, not until he finishes all the Revisits, that is. ;( :)
Is English your first language? Do you know what "die" means?
Are you just an asshole? This is not a personal attack, it's just an honest question.
Steady on. He/she is just showing their enthusiasm for the Revisited series. No need to read more into it than that.
Spoiler free for the ST
Had a visual idea for the Wampa Ice Cave
I am only talking about background elements. Perhaps Increasing Depth??
This is crystal cave in Iceland
Might be a good source for inspiration or shapes less set and more realism
But keeping the core feel of what it is in the film originally
Some of these ice shapes could make the cave a little more fantastical
Original shot of the cave... the special edition is more rocky which is perhaps more realistic but anyway I hope we see the shadow return.

Well, here's what those statements sound like:
"adywan, please finish the Revisited edits so I can watch them. After that, if you die, no big deal to me, because I got what I wanted."
There's a million better ways to show enthusiasm than "don't die before you're done."
Thats a pretty sensitive point of view. I didnt read it that way at all. There's a difference between being cheeky and being insulting.

When did this thread become a morality play?

Hey, what happened to happy go lucky Frink?

The sapphire ice caves look lovely but don't really look Star Wars (well at least OT) I can see something like that being in the Order 66 montage of ROTS but not ESB.
Just found out about that EditDroid 1984 Demo laserdisc from the Revisited Facebook page. What's the latest news on this, did Ady get it?

An update on the rare ROTJ laserdisc:
Ok guys, thanks for all your offers of donations towards getting this. We CAN get it now but we do need your help in getting it. Someone has stepped in and purchased it but we have to reimburse him for the cost. This has helped us on many fronts: Not only did it guarantee that some collector won't come along and snap it up and we would most probably NEVER get to see the unseen footage on this disc but also we only have to cover the cost of the purchase and i'm not going to get hit with all the import fees (which would have been around $200). Once i can get my hands on this disc then i can get it transferred to digital format for all of us to enjoy :)
But this isn't just about the laserdisc. The Han in Carbonite parts i paid for, but haven't received, has also caused a financial problem. I had been funding the remaining part of revisited personally through the credit card. Well the HiC parts were purchased through Paypal on this card. Today i received a letter from Vanquis ( the card company) saying they have blocked the card because we didn't agree to the hike in interest charges they were going to apply to our balance and future purchases. So this has now caused major problems. When paypal refunds me the money it will go directly back on the card, so that means no more cash left.
So this latest donation drive is not just for the laserdisc but also to help get the last section of ESB:R completed.
We haven't got very long to try and raise the funds to get our hands on this disc so please, we are grateful for any help you can give.
Donations, as usual, will be through paypal just by clicking on the paypal button on the right hand side of this page:

I agree, Frink, and I would have no more written that than you would have; but I understood what he must have meant straight away and took it in exactly the same way that Bester did.
The only way I can afford to donate more to ESB:R is if I sell back Fury From The Deep to the BBC :-D
So about what "goal" do we talk now?
because I would like to donate, but have to wait for November to fill up my paypal again ...
Every step/cent towards a final release is worth taking/spending ;-)

Is there any reason to suspect Leia wasn't referring to Queen Breha when she spoke of her mother?
Oh I dunno....how about:
LUKE
Leia... do you remember your mother? Your real mother?
LEIA
Just a little bit. She died when I was very young.

Last I heard we were about $400 off of what we needed.

There is no need to suspect. It used to be written in SW.com that she is talking about Padmé. Since the website's been redone the page isn't available anymore but it was there.
Wouldn't surprise me to hear that GL changed his mind about this though. That's one of the few things he's very good at.

yeah, it's very frustrating that he changed the "canon" through the years ...
and it also caused the downfall of LucasArts - for his interfering and changing of mind (plus many other problems, he laid the bricks) :-(

Oh, I knew he didn't mean it literally. But people who have no sense of perspective, or how their words might possibly sound, make me very grumpy.
