Ok guys, I am a newbie at this looking for a little sage like advise! I recently got the Video files for Returning to Jedi from a Torrent. The problem is I am not sure how to create the DVD. I read that I need a Double length DVD, so I am going to Staples tonight to pick one up. I have Nero 6 to burn DVDs. Is it as simple as dropping all the files onto a DVD and burning it, or do I need an additional program to create this DVD. In Addition, does anyone know were I can find the Empire version? This stuff seems great!

And best of all, there's no bugs in it . Is there enough interest for me to torrent it, or perhaps mail it to someone who can torrent?

Did this version get torrented? If I can get a copy I'm happy to start a US PiF.

I really didn't get much of a response. I've sent out 2 copies. I assume they got to where they were going. Send me a PM. I'll send a couple more out, especially if someone wants to torrent it.

Is there enough interest in a torrent? I can put one up this weekend and the couple people I mail one to can rip it and then copy it to their torrent folder and help seed for a few days to help get it up.

Seeing as how it's gone from youtube, might I suggest putting it up on dailymotion? That's where Naruto Abridged moved after they got kicked off.

... another coaster... why is it so hard for me to burn this thing?

I have downloaded MoveAlong´s posted RTJ off the usenet. Unpacked it and watched it couple of times - great work.

But... "Tried" to set the layer break at Cell 17 using PgcEdit (which gives the break at 1567440). ImgBurn verification gives errors at that point on. PowerDVD won´t play it on my pc. Standalone dvd-player (Pioneer or Philips) won´t play it.

All my friends that I have send this to have HTPCs so all I needed to do was send two DVD+R disc with rars and pars to make it happen. Now some of them want burned DL DVD+R disc (as so do I). Since I have had bad compatibility with just making DVD-ROMs out of DL Movies, I tried - once again - to burn this. But no no NO!!!

Tell me, please tell me, why is this so hard

Oh one more think. Noticed something that is no biggy with HTPC systems. Some of the text gets cropped off since my tv overscans +5%. I can compensate that from nvidia settings. Just wanted you guys to know that since I don´t remember this being mentioned.

Say,

Who did these covers?

http://www.starwarscutscenes.com/images/BE.jpg

http://www.starwarscutscenes.com/images/RTJ.jpg

They are the ones I like the best, but they don't quite match. The Building Empire one has a split cover spine, and Returning To Jedi has a standalone spine, which I prefer. Are there matching ones?

Also, there are some glaring spelling and grammatical errors which I'd like to see corrected, or correct myself... and then I think they're perfect.

I watched this today and was absolutely blown away; why can't official DVD documentaries be this good? Even my parents showed some interest in some of the facts - no joke!
So, great job. Props to you, Jambe, can't wait for your SW project!

Ok, so nobody 'Dugg' it then. Hey ho. Things go out of favour so quickly in our hobby!

Onto some good news. My very good friend Captain Sith Park attended Celebration IV last weekend and was able to give out copies of my fan docos to the following Star Wars veterans.

- Jon Berg - Animator (TESB) & Creature Consultant (ROTJ)
- Tim Rose - Admiral Ackbar and Salacious Crumb pupeteer (ROTJ)
- Howard Kazanjian - ROTJ Producer
- Robert Watts - Associate Producer (TESB), Co-producer (ROTJ)
- Harrison Ellenshaw - Matte Painter (SW & TESB)
- Jeremy Bulloch - Boba Fett (TESB & ROTJ)
- Anthony Forrest - Stormtrooper (SW)
- Garrick Hagon - Biggs Darklighter (SW)

Their response was very positive with several saying they will try to get in contact with me (my email was on the case) with some feedback.

I tried to "digg" it but it was asking me to register first and... well, no excuse, I was just feeling lazy that day.

Anyway, I expect you will get some positive feedback from the DVD recipients. Well done.
