I haven’t seen a simple TFA extended cut, nor have I seen anyone flawlessly remove the timecodes of any deleted scenes except for SirRidley’s work on the Leia scene for Restructured. A user named Telecine did a version of Kylo on the Falcon, but that’s the only other attempt I’m aware of.

At some point I’ll at least attempt a timecode removal for Kylo on the Falcon and Rey being comforted by Kalonia, at least if nobody else has tried.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I cleaned up the Finn and the Villager deleted scene to put in my unreleased fan edit. I’m uploading it to my Google drive right now. Let me know if you’re interested.

Thanks, it’s nice to see it in a fuller context. It would have been interesting to see how people would have interpreted Finn’s motivations if we had this scene instead of the dying trooper, since it would have shown that he cared for the innocent civilians in the war rather than his fellow troopers. In this context, his later actions make a lot more sense.

To be honest, I like the idea of seeing Finn caring for his fellow stormtroopers as well as the villagers. I think it shows him to be a consistently good human being.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Thanks again for the link to your workprint.

Finn and the Villager Deleted Scene - No Timecode

It’s a simple scene that some might consider unnecessary, but I’ve always really liked it. I think it gives Finn’s decision not to kill the villagers a more personal touch.

That is honestly incredible! I completely forgot where the timecode was even supposed to be! Where have you been all this time? 😉

I haven’t been very active on any forums, but I’ve been fan-editing for my personal use for quite a few years now. Long enough that I had my own versions of the OT and PT before I’d ever even heard of great editors like hal9000.

Sometime this fall, my internet connection is supposed to get a major upgrade (I live in the middle of nowhere on the top of a mountain ridge). After that, I’m considering sharing some of my work which includes every Star Wars film, The Hobbit, Willow, and more.

In the meantime, I’ve been toying with the idea of making what I would call a Fan Edit Junkyard, where I would share lots of parts and pieces from my editing that might be useful to others in their own edits (even if only for inspiration).

Let me know if anyone would find this of interest.

This year I put together a Mandalorian edit using other fan edits for footage (I do have a subscription to Disney+, by the way), but I’d like to incorporate some other scenes not included in those edits. Could anyone help me get my hands on a high-quality rip of the entire season one?

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Your best option is probably to look into torrenting sites. If you really do have a Disney+ subscription, I don’t think it will be considered piracy.

Has anyone ever made an Extended Edition of ROTJ with upscaled deleted scenes ala Bobson Dugnett’s ROTS Extended Cut?

Use the Force, Joh Yowza.

I could have sworn I saw someone make a montage of all the Rise of Skywalker trailer footage that wasn’t in the movie. Does anyone have a link to that?

You’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Am I making Carrie Fisher’s ghost proud?”
Well, are ya, punk?

I’m looking for a custom SE of Empire that is mostly theatrical but contains the enhanced Cloud City from the Special Edition.

Who was it that made an alternate opening shot for The Force Awakens where the “stars” turn out to be dust from Rey scavenging on the Star Destroyer? I have an edit idea that could really benefit from it, but I can’t find it anywhere.
I seem to remember it being on vimeo and having a really vague title like “fakeout” that made it hard to find by searching.

It happens so fast that I bet you could just cut from the opening crawl to the first motion frame of Rey pulling the thing away.
Dunno if he was the first, but I recall NeverArGreat doing that idea.

Just think of people seeing it opening night in IMAX 3D. Give people heart attacks, it would.

I have a lot of requests. The first (and biggest one) is Adywan’s revisited editions of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. The next would have to be Seciors edits of Episodes I and II. Then there’s q2’s edits of the prequels, titled Fall of the Jedi. DigModiFicaTion’s Rogue One edit, Rise of the Rebellion and Solo edit, The Coaxium Heist. Then there’s War of the Stars, the grindhouse version of A New Hope from The Man Behind the Mask.

Yeah. I have way too many requests.

I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.

Yeah, anything 1080p or higher would be much appreciated!

I apologize if I’ve already asked, but would anyone be able to provide me with Adywan’s color corrected version of the 2011 ANH Blu-Ray?

It might not be much help, but it’s available on myspleen. Not currently giving out invites. 😕
