Awesome! I love it. This is the twist TROS needed. And completely doable with the material we have.

Except it can’t be Ochi’s ship because it’s on Pasaana…except if you make Pasaana Jakku, which would be totally doable due to being virtually identical deserts. It wouldn’t even be any more coincidental, since either way the ship her parents left on just so happened to be involved.

I can do the audio engineering into 5.1 surround as well as the impression and voice using proximity effect into the mic. Cranking up the distortion just slightly can help mask the fact it’s not the same voice actor. No matter who does the Kylo “impression” or how well they do it, it will sound a bit different and the sound engineering will be at best slightly different. Which is why any one scene with any changed Kylo dialogue will likely have to be completely re-VO’d even with dialogue which stays the same. Punching in/out between different actors/sound techs will be too noticeable.

We should pick a Kylo mask scene and do a proof of concept that a realistic new VO can be achieved which sounds perfect and not fan-edity at all. If it sounds off in any way then I’m not interested.

Not necessarily, the ship could have been repaired and used again by ochi until it found its final resting place on Passana. Turning Passana into Jakku would be the cleaner option, thematically it would tie Rey’s arch pretty well with her discovering who she is on her home planet.
Wonder if some downed Destroyers can be inserted in the background to really sell the idea.

Or Ochi’s ship is just a standard model ship, nothing special. Like an X-wing. Lots of people piloted them not just Luke Skywalker.

I think it plays too big a role for it to just be a coincidence.

In any newly crafted scenario having the parent’s crashed ship show up later as repaired will feel off and require some very silly acrobatic explanations.

Having them be different ships is more realistic it’s a model WTK-85A interstellar transport after all. Plus the square front end/sides ship in Rey’s TFA vision does not match the round front end/sides of Ochi’s ship in TROS. So it’s really not a hard sell it’s a different ship. You just cut the dialogue where Rey says she has seen the ship before.

Ochi can’t use the force, he kills people with daggers, and flies around in lackluster ships. The only need for him in the edit is Rey’s hunt for the McGuffin I mean wayfinder.

Maybe recolouring the ship from the flashback would help sell the idea.

The exterior shots of the ship shouldn’t be cut because this would be a bit weird-- Poe and the gang going inside a ship we never see. The ship could not be cut entirely (exterior and interior) because the whole reason for going to Pasanna is this ship. Also a few key plot points happen on Pasanna and at the ship.

Also the ship is heavily involved in the Kijimmi sequence.

Also the ship is ALREADY different in the TFA flashback. We could use the TFA flashback ship to replace the changed TROS flashback ship.

Its amazing how seamless this is, Im sure something can be done with Adam Drivers voice to this affect.

Honestly would have preferred that to what we got, that way the next trilogy will have Rey as the Antagonist and Finn as the Jedi or something.

So I am trying to wrap my tiny brain around this whole palpatine clone debacle…
I think the answer may be that there are no clones. Try and follow this logic

1. The Rise of Skywalker Emperor (henceforth referd to as Alpha) is very very old. And is not a Palpatine. Alpha can use his force power to control others strong with the force; I will refer to them as puppets. He can also Completely transfer his essence if he can only find a truly worthy force wielder (henceforth feferd to as a vessel); someone capable of wielding his awesome force powers.
2. Sheev Palpatine A Puppet of Alpha. Sheev instantly knew Anakin was special and a prime candidate for a worthy vessel. He tried to groom him Until… Ben Kenobi damaged him, making him unworthy. So Palpatine keeps Vader around to help find the next vessel. Which turns out to be the son of Anakin, Luke Skywalker. Palpatine wants Luke now to take vaders place. Hoping to train him and make him strong enough to be the new Vessel.
3. The Next Puppet the Empeor takes control of is Snoke. An old broken Puppet but strong enough to continue the search for a new Vessel. The Grandson of Anakin Ben Solo. Snoke begins to corrupt Ben to the dark side. Snoke is trying to train and make the now known as Kylo Ren A strong enough vessel for Alpha. He is promising but has an inner struggle between the dark and the light hindering his full potential. That is when Rey enters the picture an incredible Mary Sue from out of nowhere with clearly more potential than Kylo Ren. And becomes Alphas prime target for a new Vessel.
4. Alphas true form is Quite literaly falling apart and the search for a Vesssel is starting to become more desperate and instead of using the energy to claim a new puppet He hatches a plan to bring Rey and Kylo to him. If he cannot take Rey as a new vessel she can die and he can take Kylo as a Puppet and continue the search.

It almost gives these characters proper motivation. Reys motivation is just trying to find where she came from. Which she never gets. (My best idea is that Rey is a clone of Shmi, thats why when she asks to see her parents in the cave it is just an image of herself) But in the end she is a worthy vessel and Alpha take her form. AlphaRey starts an acadamy is put in charge of the Council and a Leader of the Republic. Alpha is right back on top with a Rockin Hard new body and Respect and Prestige and no one is the wiser. No Luke, or Leia or Kylo to find out… BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Something like that using Mask Kylo/Adam Driver’s voice could be done almost seamlessly since you would have it distorted anyway. So lines with his mask on would be easier to manipulate if need be.

I think it would sound more raw if we use Adam’s since there is a lot more material out there with his voice, then add the Kylo Ren affect.

Am I missing a link somewhere? Is this software available?
