Every Star Wars fan — be they lapsed or faithful, SJW or toxic masculinist — deserves whatever strife they receive from their attachment to this franchise.
Desire is suffering, biotches.

How egalitarian of you.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Lucas should have given Obi-wan a robot leg in the ANH Special Edition in 1997 so that people would have speculated endlessly over the next 8 years about when during the prequels he lost it, then never have him sustain this injury, making it clear that it just happened sometime later and had no bearing on the plot.
And he could have made it C-3PO’s missing gold right leg.
Well see now that’s almost interesting, so it would have never happened.
Do we have any sort of official statement from anyone at Lucasfilm as to WHY this ronto was added to this specific shot? It really does not make sense. The shot was populated enough as it was, right George? Did he not like the white R2 unit? Why not recolor it instead? I just don’t get it. sigh

Our 3D textures are so realistic, they can fill the whole frame!

Three cheers for false equivalency.

A fourth for self-loathing.
No matter the context, if anyone uses the words “episode one” in my mind I always add “The Phantom Menace”.

LF had a great marketing machine.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
Is there a reason why the Hutts are all portrayed in a negative way?
Seriously, they are always slimy scumbags, and I don’t recall a single Hutt with genuinely noble intentions.
A noble Hutt with good intentions that has to overcome the preconceptions others would have because of his species’ criminal reputation would be an interesting idea to explore. We’ve had a good Rodian or two, (one of Anakin’s pals in TPM and one in Resistance) so anything is possible.
Ziro the Hutt had one good quality in that he seemed to have seriously loved Sy Snootles, which led to his downfall.

This has bugged me, too.
In TPM some guy says “The Hutts are gangsters!” Like, all of em? The entire species?
Stupid.

Do we know that the Hutts are a species and not just a clan within whatever intergalactic slug species they are?

Aarrba’s one Hutt portrayed in a positive light.
If all the SW aliens were human, that’d be prejudiced to say the least. But they’re an entirely other species. If all the animals on earth were personified, I’m sure we’d think plenty of them were jerks.
Star Trek has always found a way of taking aliens that seem all bad at first and showing us there are exceptions though. Something I wish Star Wars would do more often.
On the flip side of the coin, we have seen Wookiees in the EU that are rough customers.

Good point. Would give reason that they usually use the title with the name.
I’m going with this from now on.
I made this with you guys in mind. Happy Halloween (a day or two early)!!!

I don’t find it stupid unless Star Wars is stupid, what about the Tusken Raiders? It’s way more classic fantasy in that way, the flying monkeys are bad, the orcs are evil orcs, unlike Warcraft orcs.

Must … resist. . . .
So I rewatched that “SC 38 Reimagined” lightsaber duel for the first time since it was released, just to see if it was as bad as I remembered. Boy howdy, was it ever. And fans actually like this overwrought crap? And want it edited into the movie proper?
I’d legitimately rather have the flashlight duel from Hardware Wars in there before this prequelized clusterpork.

The same fans who think the Vader attack in Rogue One is the best scene in the franchise.
Ever lie awake at night wondering which Columbo guest stars went on be in a Star Wars film? Wonder no longer!
