Would like to know what the last major studio VHS release was in the U.S.
That honour goes to A History of Violence.

For the first six or so years of my life my family for whatever reason didn’t buy a DVD player and all we had was a VCR, and I’ve still got all my copies of the Star Wars films on VHS up on my shelf. Still looking for that Revenge of the Sith VHS though…
Now I want to watch Revenge of the Sith on a worn-out copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a pan and scan tape.
.
You dawg, we put a copy of a copy in your copy…

Someone around here is doing a project along those lines with Backstroke Of The West.
Where were you in '77?
.
It doesn’t hold a candle to the original poster art, (which the DVD used) but it’s not that bad either.

I for one am moderately intrigued.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
At least the blu ray releases use the theatrical poster art, that’s a relief.
Good to see they let Sam Jackson step outside and stretch his head.
^ ALLOL!
That’s a weird re-release…
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
The first one must have been the extended edition…

Why did they use a book cover for DVD art?
I think the artist was trying to tell us something here. Maybe other artist stole his woman.
“Get over violence, madness and death? What else is there?”
Also known as Mr. Liquid Jungle.
Eastwood BDs:
etc.

chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
^what’s so bad about that?
[brain seizes up]
I assume that cover is rather indicative of the product, and doesn’t seem particularly ugly by any compositional standard, so… what’s the problem? Not a fan of the corny tagline?

Yesterday is in the past and it hasn’t risen out of its grave yet…

It’s busy. And loud. Bunch of characters squished together, and crazygonuts with the colors, starflares, and sparkliness.

I mean that seems representative of the movie…And yes I’ve seen it.

This thread is about cover art that is bad, not whether what would be bad cover art is actually not because the movie is also bad.

Ok it’s fair but bad.
