First time I really see Han Solo in Alden Ehrenreich. Excitement increases.

How old is Solo supposed to be in this film?
Something about Lando seems odd to me. If these guys are supposed to be 20 yr olds, should Lando be so well established in the criminal underground? He looks like a boss. Should they be 28 yr olds? When does Solo go from being the cheeky kid to being the grizzled galactic smuggler?
These are minor annoyances but the movie looks fun.
I think Han is around 19-20. Chewie is 190.
Very cool to finally see the various parts of the Falcon, like the kitchen area and the captain’s quarters.
I’m sure it’s pure nostalgia, but I have the fondest memories of the old green vector graphics arcade game.
Its still a very fun game. Yes its a bit cheesy with the synth voices but the gameplay is still top notch. Too bad the cabinets are rare and expensive. If I were ever to buy one- it would be that.
Turkish Star Wars will come out on Blu-Ray before Star Wars. We truly live in the wrong timeline.
I can’t wait for Filoni to shove Ahsoka and Ezra and Rex in this.
Rex wouldn’t be alive, clones have accelerated aging.
Its one of Filoni’s pet characters- they will survive when all logic says otherwise.
Not a fan of Filoni’s shows?
I think they are ok. I do fucking hate Ezra though and his actions in the series finale angered me as a big fan of Thrawn.

For a kid his age, there are NU Canon books like
The Mighty Chewbacca in the Forest of Fear (upcoming)
Guardians of the Whills
Smuggler’s Run
Weapon of a Jedi
Moving Target
Before the Awakening (Background for Poe, Finn and Rey)
Cobalt Squadron
The Legends of Luke Skywalker.
They would be more his reading level than some of the other suggestions, great as they are.
I really like the look of Lando’s Falcon. Very McQuarrie-esque.
Malla is technically canon. She was mention in one of the new books. Seeing her on screen will cement it.
I want to see Kylo lose his connection to the Force, like in the old Tales of the Jedi comics. Then he is hated by the Resistance, the remnants of the FO and basically everyone forcing him to steal the Falcon and retreat into the underworld of the galaxy. With the possibility that he knocked Rey up so we can have 10-12 if they decide to go that far.
Oh and C-3PO is destroyed because could we ever accept anyone other than Anthony Daniels in the role? He’s over 70 and this will probably be his last time in the costume.
Loved it. Is that Malla? Could the Holiday Special be canon again?
Where is the trailer? Why make us wait?
'Cos none of you lazy gits have invented one of these yet…
or (no Morlocks, please!)
😉
If that happened, I’d go back to 1982, ask Lucas to film Ian McDiarmid saying the ESB Emperor’s lines in the good makeup. Then show him DVDs of the Prequels and what he is doomed to become. Like a Christmas Carol. Then when he reacts in horror- travel back to nu 2018 where the Prequels were amazing and Filoni is the manager of a Hardees in Iowa and no one ever heard of Ahsoka and Carrie Fisher is still here.

Woof means something totally different in the gay world. That made me laugh.
My updated list.
Honestly this is what you say with Daniel Craig.
You’re assuming an awful lot.
Actually for me it would be Chris Pratt or Teddy Torres but I assume there is someone for everyone to want to say the lines to.
That reminds me of the 100 page rebuttal to Red Letter Media’s review of The Phantom Menace.
The DCEU fanboys have a big problem with Disney owned Marvel and Lucasfilm movies because the DC ones get bad reviews. That’s why I wasn’t shocked. They also have teamed up with the Bring Back Legends crowd in a weird alliance.
I guess the 90% crap is a bit of hyperbole. Its more like 70-75% crap. For every Thrawn Trilogy or X-Wing book you have Crystal Star or something written by Kevin J Anderson that’s not Tales of the Jedi.
Honestly this is what you say with Daniel Craig.

The fact that everyone is excited about Mr. Copy-paste returning for episode IX baffles me.Abrams is a mixed bag for me. When TFA came out, I too was disappointed that it wasn’t more creative. I mean, despite the EU no longer being canon (a dumb, no-good-reason move on Disney’s part), there are still good story concepts embedded in it (e.g., Thrawn has been re-canonized). Why they couldn’t have tapped that treasure trove is beyond me.
Ah, but then came the dud that is TLJ. Ruin Johnson not only dissed the whole franchise – he even stupidly ignored questions and implications raised by TFA. The two movies are barely related to each other.
Say what you want about Abrams: at least he respects what has come before. And it’s for that reason – not cuz I think he’s a “genius” – that I’m glad he’s directing Ep9. I’m confident that if he makes an honest effort he can fix at least some of what Ruin ruined.
Of course the person with Batffleck as his avatar would hate TLJ. The EU was 90% trash. There was no good way you could do a ST and incorporate all the post-ROTJ books into it. Chewbacca wouldn’t be there, he died. Explain Han and Leia had two sons that died etc.
TLJ followed TFA very well. TFA gave us new characters and introduced them into the Star Wars universe. TLJ put them through the paces so now they are the main characters.
Does anyone else refuse to call Star Wars “A New Hope”?
When people say “ROTS is actually pretty good,” I think they tend to mean “ROTS actually has pretty good pacing.” In terms of actual story content, I think it’s the PT film with the most wrong with it, but it moves well enough that watching it isn’t a chore like the other two.
I said watchable. Like Superman III is watchable.
Lord and Miller would have made Solo the Star Wars Holiday Special II. I’m glad they’re gone.
