The Last Ridiculous Jedi?
Yeah this is what I think would work the best.

And since I only really know Laura Dern from Jurassic Park, I thought raptors would show up and chase her. 😉

Frink, where is your TLR/TRJ thread so i Can tag this
I found this quite an informative review - didn’t agree with all of it (why would I? It’s someone else’s thoughts) - yet the overall gist in there - I do, and some intriguing perspective too:-
‘The Last Jedi’ Doesn’t Care What You Think About ‘Star Wars’ – And That’s Why It’s Great’…

Fair warning there’s some nasty advertising on that page that pops up a lot of crap on my mobile.
Doh! Apologies for that mate - I often forget the pc adblocker filters out this stuff very well.
No problem it was a very good article once I disabled JavaScript 😋

Did anyone catch Joseph Gordon-Levitt in this? I didn’t, will look again tonight.
Surprised no wise guys have said Gungans appear in the movie. They don’t.
Meesa pwopose dat da senate immediatewy perm ban Silverwook.

Luke did something we’ve never seen any other Jedi do before. He projected a solid version of himself across unimaginable distances and could interact with Leia and even Threepio. That had to come with a price. In the end, Luke saved the day one last time and went out a hero.
Excellent answer
9.5/10 on first view. needs more viewings
Needs more viewings? Not a lot of room for improvement is there? Sounds like you were pretty happy with it.
i need more viewings to be sure of that rating. worst case i could see it dropping to an 8, but i doubt it.
add NewPerson and Unbanned_Jedi to that
i also am curious which of our previously dearly departed they were. I am kinda putting a guess on RoyRodgers since he was most recent and probably still holds a grudge / and seems to love trolling
Who the hell is the sock who keeps turning this thread into a b!tchfest?
JEDIT: jajajaja, banned. I hope we don’t have to disable new registrations on here…

Staring at a dark screen. In about 35 minutes there’ll be car commercials, then trailers, then in about 1 hour it’ll start. Should have brought headphones or something.
just don’t be like the a$$hole a row in front of me last night, who kept getting out their phone during the movie, and shining the screen light on everyone behind them. 😃
Marco Rubio found a bit of backbone? Whaaaaaa?
Is the Republican party finally starting to wake up?
…
Hahahahahaha. Sorry.
I’m seeing it tomorrow mid-day, right after my half-day of work is over. Hurry up tomorrow!
It’s tomorrow and I’m not at a theater yet. 😦
i feel your pain. man i wish i could go again today, instead of these damn meetings! 😃
Wow, i really, really, i mean, REALLY enjoyed the whole runtime of that film. There was a crapload of stuff in there, so i am not going to pick any nits just yet, but overall:
Every Character that i was on the fence about in TFA, was stellar in TLJ. this includes Finn,Hux,Poe,Snoke. Ok wait, i lied, i still don’t really like the Phasma character (she lacks reason for being IMO), and was glad to see her go.
I was so happy with how they treated Luke in this film.
I was so happy with jolly old Yoda. yeah he looked a bit different than what seemed right to me (chubby face and darker green as has been mentioned), but hell, he had the spirit of old yoda from ESB, and i loved that. i think i almost teared up when he burned the tree and had a good chuckle.
I really like how they turned Poe into someone who might be a convincing leader in the next film. he learned some lessons in this film from general leia, and gained some believability that he was sorely lacking in TFA.
I realy liked general leia as well. i even sorta liked her space moment, but was frustrated that it didn’t go anywhere. it seemed like everyone dropped it. i mean, did she do this often? was this a surpise to the rest of them? But it was awesome to see that she had also grown into her force abilities, but it was frustrating to have that be it.
JEDIT: how could i forget Rey and Kylo: they were amazing in this, and i really liked the way they developed them together in this.
I promised i won’t nit pick, but just to give a taste, things i have to give a second thought to are:
Convenient pauses in battles, benicio del toro’s stutter (i hate when stutters are added to characters for no discernable reason)
I dunno, I get the feeling that the film I is still very much a club. It’s all about who you know, and you don’t piss people off for no reason. At least not until they fall out of favor with the club.
The iron was hilarious
I really really enjoyed it. Nothing more from me till I see it again. It’s hard to know how you really feel after one viewing, when your mind is on overdrive and you pay attention to every little detail.
And mods, thanks for editing those early spoilers, I didn’t expect that anyone would be such a jerk to come in here and start their post with “Luke died” well before the film was screening for the general public.
the time has come… off to find some dinner, make sure the kid is being watched by her grandma, and then off to the theater for my wife and I. Quite excited. (and then i get to venture into the spoiler thread again!)
He ought to direct people to the person who can actually answer the question. If someone owning Disney stock asked the OOT question at a shareholder’s meeting they’d have to answer it, just like they did when Song Of The South came up a few years back.
that’s interesting. did they give a complete and direct answer?
quick, who is a disney shareholder around here 😃
I think he’s just tired of having to field the question. I read the bit with the asterisk as meaning that this isn’t his area at all at LFL. He’s got to be sick of everyone assuming he’s the guy to ask by now, hence the saltiness. I’ve seen him express a positive opinion of the OOT in the past elsewhere, too.
Side note, does anyone know how to actually type an asterisk in markdown without having it register as italics?
yes*

Hey, who decides what is and isn’t legitimate?
i think the only real answer is that everyone decides for themselves. which sorta has the net effect of it seeming to be a mob mentality.
You’ll never be an official Mini-Frink with that attitude.
and i was just finished with my application! what a waste of time.
I’ve been spoiled, not by my own choice. I was reading an article that had nothing to do with Star Wars, and someone in the comments section blurted out a major spoiler.
yeah, some people suck. it only takes one, and there are hundreds of people who can potentially blurt things out. either without thinking, or because they want to earn cred for being one of the first to know, or else they are just mean.
i thought it was sockball
