This was a movie I had scene a clip of on youtube. A man walks into a room full of a crowd of people who are all standing still while staring in awe with gaping mouths at someone playing a guitar off screen. That’s all I got.

I really wish the action at Jabba’s would have taken place on a lush, tropical rainforest type planet. That would have added new visual flair to the film & it seems like a place where slug-like creatures would thrive.
Also, the Sarlaac being the gaping maw of a huge, beautiful flower would be better than a hole in the sand.

I don’t think the idea suits the ideas behind Ady’s edit, but I’d love to see it come to life someday.
I got to admit that the pacing in the beginning of the film never worked for me. It starts off with Vader arriving in the DSII, then it cuts to Tatooine at Jabba’s palace rescuing Han where they get captured and fight at the Sarlaac pit for about 30 minutes, then the core of the story gets back on track on Dagobah with the Yoda and Obi-Wan scenes.

I bet the answer is “No, because putting that scene in ruins the pacing and the reveal-fanfare-music when Luke & Obi see the Falcon for the first time.”
I agree. And doing a scene with Boba Fett instead of Jabba would require a budget thats already being spent on ROTJ:R.

Could that new scene of Luke training Leia work as an alternative ending. It would still require trimming down the celebration and I’m not sure whether the pyre scene would work better where it is rn or just before the new scene, but I can imagine that scene fitting in there. I feel it would work well to act as a pay off to the whole “there is another” and give the whole siblings plot an actual conclusion, rather than just drama. It would also work for “haters” and fans of the Sequels alike, and would give credibility to certain controversial plot points that felt forced due to them having no setup.
Overall I believe it would add to the movie, and Star Wars saga, as (for some) the final movie in the saga, would end with Luke fulfilling his role of teaching the next generation of Jedi. The ‘Return Of The Jedi’.
Ending it on the pyre scene, with the ghosts added, was just an idea. The more i thought about it, the more i missed the celebration ( Yub-Nub, not the SE version with the ripped off native american/ new age music). The planet celebrations will still be erased ( why the hell are there thousands of people celebrating in mos eisley, a small spaceport?). The Empire isn’t fully defeated at this point and the celebrations are way too quick to happen. I’m going back to the pre-SE version of the ending ( with one or two changes, like the added wedge shots).
You could still end ROTJ:R with the funeral pyre scene by having the celebration happen before it just without Luke in it.

The First Order and the Resistance work just fine if you change one small detail: they’re both funded by the Republic. Now it becomes a proxy war between two rival parties within the system. Snoke could be some rich senator.

The First Order shouldn’t be funded by the New Republic but instead should be viewed by them as terrorist-like.
The way people reconstruct or create their own continuity with the PT, how would you redo the ST?
First I would start by having the First Order to be a group of survivors from the Empire who believe in the dark side of the Force and by not having the Resistance but as a group of pilots from the New Republic.
The ST shows as if the Battle of Endor did nothing to stop the Empire that also seems as if they then went on to use a different name as the First Order.
If the Empire are like Nazis that rose to power then the ST should depict the First Order as a group of Neo-Nazis.
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon shouldn’t have a master/student relationship as this contradicts what was stated in TESB but as friends or as two Jedi who work together with Yoda being the one who instructed Obi-Wan.

One other thing I’ve mentioned before is that during the Space Battle of Endor (and possibly during the Ground Battle) there should heavy casualties from both the Empire and the Rebel fleet afterwards, not just a majority of the Rebel pilots surviving afterwards and most of the Empire fleet being destroyed for a happy ending.
For example: in ANH there were many heavy casualties to Red Squadron during the Battle of Yavin to where only Luke, Wedge and a single Y-Wing pilot were the only ones who made it in the end (plus the MF) and not a majority of the Red Squadron pilots surviving afterwards for a happier ending.

Now that the 4KSE of ROTJ has been released, will you still be using 4k83 to fix the framing errors or will you go with 4kSE?
All Jedi lightsabers in the PT should be blue so that Luke’s new lightsaber in ROTJ is more unique.
