You Windows users just make me sad…
You Windows users just make me sad…
Well, according to what is available on the Spleen, the GOUT synced BD’s of SSE and ESB Grindhouse have all the English tracks you’d expect from the Despecialized edition (plus Portuguese as desired by the uploader), including the DTS-HD MA tracks. Maybe what we should instead be asking is: dear God, HOW did you author these BDs? Also, how many audio and subtitle tracks can this method handle, assuming it has a menu (which it should, if it has selectable crawls)?
I am looking at the correct files… right?
Yeah, I’m seriously down for a copy as well, give us a heads up when you know it will be available. Thanks for everything.
Oh, if it is GOUT synced, will the BD include the hairy_hen DTS-HD MA 5.1 track?
THAT’S BUZZED NOT BUZZING YOUR WRONG HOW COULD YOU EVEN SAY THAT YOURE GOING DOWN A PATH I CANT FOLLOW IVE LOST THE WILL TO LIVE EVEN THOUGH MEDICALLY IM PERFECTLY HEALTHY
*YOU’RE
Also, is there no life support in the super futuristic Star Wars past? I mean, seriously.
Literally buzzing with excitement!
Unless you’re a bee, you used it wrong.
Unless he’s getting drunk for it…
The normal download methods should be available soon, though. Patience will be rewarded.
This is just not the “let jokes go as jokes” thread this week…
(For reference, I was twisting modern political happenings into something loosely relevant… from a certain point of view.)
Frink, for the love of God, do not infringe on a Millennial’s Safe Space, you’ll violate their right of happiness. If they wish to self-identify as being the only strictly legal people/beings on the internet, it is not your place to tell them otherwise.
Everyone else, if you don’t like a Frink joke, don’t argue it and feed the fire.
Somewhere in between is probably where we ought to be… but I’ll just take Frink’s side…
If you give it a week or so, it’ll be available in the normal places, otherwise you have to suffer getting a 20GB file through MEGA (I experienced many failures and then shameful security concessions to see it through…).
Looks great, though. Even my wife said so (compared to previous editions, no less), and, while she loves Star Wars, she does not have nearly the constant passion and determination for it that I do… So it takes a lot these days for her to care to say anything.
I think it stems from his preference toward shitty encodes.
She doesn’t say much, but what she does say could be gold for this project.
Edit: then again, I think there might have been a lot of background noise on purpose during her scene, so it is hard to say how much use it’d actually be. Still funny, though.
I guess you guys are way ahead of me, but I’m glad to see that is all already taken care of. Are you enjoying all of Hayden’s films, Frink?
Where the Heart Is, V for Vendetta, Your Highness and her few lines in Zoolander have to be some ripe sources for recognizable Natalie lines (and Thor, of course)… Have you used much from those in particular?
Edit: Okay, who the Hell’s bright idea was it to cast Hayden as Marco Polo?
BTW, has anyone seen any other movies with Hayden in them, like Jumper (I know I haven’t), I wonder if he has any good whiney lines that can be lifted for use here?
Tommy Wiseau as the clone troopers is just fucking brilliant…
As is Wiseau as Jango Fett in AOTR. 😃
Indeed. I had not started AOTR until last night, which was after that post. I was quite relieved and excited to see that the inclusion in ROTR was in fact consistency, and I have a whole movie of Tommy Wiseau-isms ahead of me (having to watch in short spurts at the moment, which I suppose is fine, since that’s apparently how Frink makes these, so it must be the intended way to watch them).
Double post, but not fair… it said it failed both times… 😛
Tommy Wiseau as the clone troopers is just fucking brilliant…
So, now you’re telling me that Adywan is NOT disabled?

In all fairness, I’ve read articles about the Despecialized Editions which were far worse than the WSJ stab at it. The guy definitely got too hung up on the term DVD (I mean, my honest response just the first sentence in, “um… no, I doubt there were many people celebrating the DVD release of TFA so much as they might the BD or shudder Digital releases”), going on to undersell what it means for something to be produced for “modern TVs and sound systems”, which really quite cheapens the point of Harmy’s work.
On an even brighter side, at least now we know that, according to Lucasfilm, the notion that the GOUT looks like crap is false, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
BTW, I didn’t realize before now that Adywan is disabled, also I don’t see what this article did to make mentioning that even relevant. “He’s disabled, so of course he likes to mess with Star Wars… just imagine what Lucas could accomplish if he was disabled.” If that’s not the point, then do tell me what it was.
Also, I bet Frink’s dining room table has looked like a swampland far longer than Adywan’s.
Now there are three of them and you catch on pretty quick.
This reminds me (and I’m sure you of all people would appreciate a good old fashioned derail), I finally looked into this Ridiculous Menace stuff you link in your signature, pretty funny stuff, Frink. Especially liked the reworking of the podrace to have Anakin racing on his own, and the music choice knocked that out of the park. Bravo.
Defiantly gonna have a Star Wars marathon
Fight the power.

Yeah, but what happened to making a version for vertical cell phone viewing? The last thing we want when holding our phones proud and tall is black bars, or the full image.
Oh crap, that’s a huge oversight on my part. Sign me up for the mkv, please!
So, is the OT the bone that still had some meat on it?
As far as I can tell, the smaller AVCHD version is being made available to those who would like to see it, but the full mkv hasn’t been put out until a comparison gallery is done as well as some other things Harmy likes to include in releases, plus I think towne32 said he’d be on travel for a number of days. After all of that is out of the way, it sounds like we should see a proper release through the usual channels.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. There’s still plenty of meat on that bone. Now you take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you’ve got a stew going!
Anyone who doesn’t get this quote is missing out on one of the smartest comedies ever made. By the way, Mavimao, I think I’d like my money back…
