I'll make the suggestion to my 7 year old that he swagger a little bit, if it'll make you happy.

...meanwhile, I'll have a drink and start 'interrogating' these stewardesses.
We're going to kick off the Halloween Movie fest here shortly. Anyone making changes to their picks from last year?
We'll probably start with Nightmare Before Christmas, just like we did last year!
The xhonzi's were having a hard time deciding what to do for Halloween this year...
Ultimately rejected ideas were:
He-Man, She-Ra, Skeletor (w/chainsaw hand), Evil Lynn, Orko, and Baby He-Man
Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Chipettes and Dave (w/chainsaw hand)
Rocky and Bullwinkle (w/chainsaw hand) and Boris and Natasha and ??? and ???
Transformers (one with a chainsaw hand)
But we somehow settled on:
Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rainbow (new "pink" female turtle) and Diamond (new "purple" female turtle). Oh, and Mrs. Xhonzi is going to be April O'Neal and I will be Shredder (no chainsaw hand... how did that happen?) I wanted to be Krang and make my 15 month old be the little pink squishy head, and I could be the big dumb robot... but my wife thinks that would have worked better last year. :(
Oh, and I'm very disappointed in you Warb... your room is a mess and it looks like you haven't been flossing! And when are you going to give me grandchildren?!?!?
With what? I'm sure you don't have a gun...
Replace Vader with Jack Bauer or James Bond and we (most of us, anyways) would be cheering his actions, right?
Yes, I am also your mother... and ALL of the poor.

Finally some film questions! I am #1 now hah!
Grrrr!!!!
I'll get you (and I mean ALL* of you) next time! Vengance!
*except xhonzi
Fixed?
Hmm... that seems to solve a third of the problem... but I'm really only in this for myself, so I'm happy.
I don't recall a lot of heavy swears either.
Digital bits says the 3D version is coming this fall, but that it will be movie only (it will also be a timed exclusive with one of the HW vendors)... so 3D fans will probably be making their 4th Avatar expense in under 12 months when that hits.
1. Theatrical release
2. Original DVD/BD
3. Extended DVD/BD
4. 3D BD.
Now that's how you weaponize your movie sales! I bet the 3D version will be the theatrical version, and they'll release an extended 3D version for Christmas next year.
Crime of passion vs. crime of... criminality?

I thought we agreed you'd be nicer to the poor, me, and Frink's mother?
"I've got a Feelin'" by Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Seriously.
Do you think the family friendly dialogue will have the political message removed? And will it be as awesomely useless as the Crank family audio track?
But it's not a coincidence that Ben knows those people... Leia comes to him BECAUSE he knew all of those people. And Ben hangs around Luke BECAUSE he knew those people. There's a difference between corellation and coincidence.
I work for the same company as my wife's brother-in-law. I had this conversation about it with this guy from work, whom we'll just call 'guy'.:
GUY: How are you related to Eric again?
ME : Oh, he's sort of my brother-in-law. I mean, we're both inlaws. I guess I mean: the women we married are sisters.
GUY: Wow! Really? That's some kind of fantastic coincidence!
ME : ... I don't follow. What's a coincidence?
GUY: You both work for this same company, and you're brothers-in-law, and the women you married are also sisters! That's kind of neat!
ME : Not really, Brent. We're brothers-in-law because we married sisters.
GUY: Oh yeah... I thought you meant you were brothers-in-law before you got married.
ME : How would we be brothers-in-law before either of us were married?
GUY: ... Did you see the game last night?
ME : No.

Some are actually quite good.
Which ones?
I loved, as a kid, the Pre-TV show of the same name Young Indiana Jones books. I'm reading some of them again with my 7 year old son and I can't say they're as good to me now as they were to me then... but my son seems to dig 'em.
I recently got both Dark Horse (non-Marvel) Indiana Jones Omnibuses and mostly enjoyed the stories in those. They were of varying quality, but all were better than CotKS.

This is an interesting question. In the 1970s, people could easily see the evil in the Empire. Today, it doesn't register so much. Sad, really.
Why do you think this is?
I think, for myself, it's easy to say to a kid: The Empire is evil. Look, they're wearing black and shooting the good guys. My requirements from the story teller are pretty low. The storyteller says they're evil? Fine, they're evil. It's a pretty simple concept for high fantasy story telling.
But I think the onus on the prequels is to better explain what makes it evil? In the OT, you can say, "Trust us. They're evil. We've seen it." But when it's a new concept to the characters in the PT, it seems like you need to show people more that it's evil. And taxing trade routes is probably not the most effective way of doing that.

But Mads Mikkelsen (not to be confused with Michael Madsen) was excellent.
Like that would ever happen - Mads Mikkelsen can act ;)
If you have a chance to see the deleted footage you'll realise that the film that people spent all that time working on never saw the light of day - and the film you [and I] wasted two hours on was born in the editing room.
<snip>
The RedBox BD was a special "rental" version that didn't have any special features, or else I would have watched the alt. ending and deleted scenes. I don't get BD from Netflix- are these on the DVD?
The OT is also from the period of filmmaking where shots were longer and more classically composed, so it will endure the 3D conversion better than a lot of the current MTV style or Jason Bourne style movie.
The "Mosht Boringesht One"?
"The Sacrifice" the new L4D2 addon wherein you play as the L4D1 characters is out: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802454108d4/?of=3
Which prompts this question from me since I recently played "The Passing". The mechanic in L4D2 makes a comment about having run into the L4D1 characters before, which made me wonder if I had missed something. Is "The Sacrifice" the missing chapter that will explain that little aside? I assume it also explains why one of the L4D1 characters is missing in "The Passing"?
Anyone know?
Are the older Wing Commander games flightstick only through the missions at all?
I would love to answer this question, but I'm afraid I don't understand it. I'll get it a shot anyways: You can play the whole game with just a joystick, but it's more conveniant to use a mouse when you're not in the cockpit. But you can do it. Well, I take that back partly. You can certainly play it without using keyboard shortcuts, but it might be a lot harder. I used to use the Thrustmaster F-16 stick and throttle which provided enough button combinations to do everything without the keyboard. Depending on what flight stick you use, you might want to use something like xpadder.com to get some keyboard emulation through your stick.
Another point: WC was closer to "simulation" than "arcade", so to play it properly, you need a lot of buttons. Whether those are on your flightstick/throttle or on the keyboard... you need a lot of buttons.
WC 1-3 added support for throttles in the WC Trilogy release or whatever it was called. I think 4 and onward supported throttles (both digital and analogue) but I'm having a hard time remembering exactly. My only point is that you might want to look up the Windows95 re-release of 1-3 as they did add some features. And make sure you look up Privateer 1. It was the best, and probably the one that survived the best. wcnews.com is a good resource for the modern Wing Commander fan.
Everybody? I think there are certain classes of people you could afford to be kinder to, Sluggo.
Like ME for example.
Or
The poor.

True, but the Rebellion was already formed prior to this, right?

I think part of the idea was: How much setup does a movie based on Greek mythology need? We all know who Zeus and Hades are. We all like giant Scorpions and Greek soldiers fighting. Put them in a box, let them fight... MAKE MONEY!
But it didn't really work, in my humblest of opinions.
It might have worked better like this:
1. Put them in a box
2. ???3. PROFIT!
1. cut a hole in the box
2. ???
3. PROFIT!
