ok - thanks.

and yes i know that the movie works just fine without the 0.1% (needed: nfo, md5 and some of the cover). it´s just that people who i pif this to seem to verify my burns against the torrent files. but.. it´s fine this way. thanks again for the info.

Backing Up Fan Discs
Time
i have nero express 6 and the start up screen has four "buttons" on the bottom. ?, Nero, More and Exit. if you press that "Nero" button you should be able to get the right screen as described by Rikter. New combilation starts and you have to select DVD-Video. Press new and from there on use Rikters advice on how to make a dvd-video disc.

and how one comes up with the right place for the layer break? citizen has that value on his release infos but i don´t know anyone else mentioning this valuable information. someone mentioned that nero can some how "find" the right place for break, but how does it work? any settings changes that needs to be done before burning? this only if the release is folder type (read=as in VIDEO_TS not .img).

The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

ADigitalMan:

Could it be possible to have some kind of verification files (.sfv, .csv, .???) for your releases.

Having slight problems with a couple of burned discs and I would like to verify those so that I know I don´t have a badly burned discs. Also the .nfo file that came with the release states that there should be a dvdrom folder with nfo and extras but for ep1 and ep2 there are non.

Thanks.

***Citizen's NTSC DVD/PAL DVD/XviD Info and Feedback Thread***
Time
... this must be the wrong thread to ask this but...

since you have provided the sector number for layer break for burning DL disks on the nfo file. how did you find out the right change point? and when i have a release that is not an image file (VIDEO_TS folder), how do i find out the sector number? or do i even have to find out when using nero?

sorry for asking this kind of question here but no one else seems to have the answer for it.

The "Darth Editous / ADigitalMan Hybrid Edition" Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
This Hybrid Edition has been quite popular amongst "piffers" that I provide it to.

Now that we have a good cover made by boba feta, the only complaint has been the lack of info on the cover and the label when it comes to identifying dvd5 and dvd9. Yes it says that on DL you get this and you get that but how do you know by just looking at the dvd case what you have in your hands? Or have I missed something? So my question is: Since there are differences between SL and DL editions, could it be possible to make a label and cover that states which one it is?

Burning DVD DL media
Time
thanks for the advice Moth3r and Arnie.d.

i have burned Citizen´s EP4 PAL and NTSC and EP5 NTSC with dvddecrypter and he has on the nfo file the sector number. all three seem to work just fine on my compu - i use compu so that i can compensate for the over scanning occuring on normal tv.

i have all ADigitalMan´s dvd9´s that where posted to a.b.sw and people have been asking for those burned to dl medias. i do pif on my end alot. my friends like these dvds with label and cover printed, service which i can offer. most of them i send these don´t know jack about torrents or newsgroups let alone burning a dvd!

edit: i forgot to say that of all ADM releases ep2 and ep4 have been "vob in video_ts" posts so img burning soft would be any good. BUT if that ImgBurn soft can some how "find" that right spot from IFO file i´m willing to try that on out.

Burning DVD DL media
Time
Hey,

Tried to ask about this on release forum but no answer.
How to determine the sector number (the point of layer change) when burning DL media?
Citizen has provided this information on the .nfo files, but there are releases out there without this info.
Is there any easy way to do this?
I use Verbatim DVD+R DL on LG GSA-4163B-burner with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0.

STAR WARS: the alt.binaries.starwars thread
Time
i´m just now starting to download MoveAlong´s post of Gonzo Trilogy (posted December ´05) and skipped ANH as i read the post had some problems. now i´m downloading ESB but all i get is 357kb/.rar file, althought giganews shows the post complete - it should be 50Mb!

were all three episodes corrupted somehow? i can see ANH re-posted so i asume that is going to work.

i´m using agent as newsreader. agent seems to work just fine cause earlier today i downloaded some cover art from a.b.starwars
