As far as Biff=funny and thus not getting banned... that isn't fair, WIN Hellhound (DOS Hellhound's doppelganger) was damn hilarious and that poor bastard still got banned. Man, I miss that guy...

Fair or not, I think {WiN}Hellhound should be reinstated as well.

Actually, scratch that.  {WiN} and {DoS} can only exist together, or not at all.  Or something like that.

Looking forward to {LiNuX} Hellhound sometime soon.

Timing Quiz: How well do you know Star Wars 1977?
Time

Damn, I didn't pay attention, they wanted times too? FMR.

My order on left, canon answers to the right:

1. Vader's first appearance - Episode III
2. Luke's first appearance - Episode III
3. Ben's first appearance - Episode I
4. Luke gets lightsaber - It's not really yours until you make your own, so Episode VI
5. Death Star's first appearance - Episode II in concept, III in reality
6. Luke decides to leave with Kenobi & become a Jedi - preordained by the Force, so at the beginning of time
7. Han's first appearance - that was probably him flying the Falcon into the Senate building in Episode III
8. Heroes leave Tattooine - Episode I
9. Alderaan is destroyed - Episode IV
10. Millenium Falcon approaches Death Star - I guess Episode IV, but a future movie set between III and IV may prove us wrong
11. Luke and Leia meet - "Somehow, I've always known"=Episode III. QED.
12. Ben and Vader fight - Episode III
13. Ben dies - one is not truly dead in the Force; trick Question!!!
14. Heroes reach the rebellion - reserved for a future story; see #10
15. Pilots getting in x-wings and y-wings - too broad. I refuse to answer
16. X-wings approach Death Star (with Yavin in bg) - I guess IV, meh.
17. Vader gets in his fighter - I don't know, Episode IV? But was that really the first time in his custom TIE,lol??
18. Han attacks Vader's fighter - more like a sucker punch. The Dark Side is stronger, hel-LO! Like Han could really attack a powerful Sith Lord.
19. Death Star blows up - Episode IV.

My S'lution to Gov't H'care
Time

something you have to go against what is popular and do what is right.  Remember, sometimes the majority is for the pretty bad things.  like slavery for example.

Ah yes, the slavery card. The majority must always be ignored and is always wrong because some people once owned slaves. To equate a health care system in need of some fine-tuning with human bondage is asinine, appalling, and offensive. Because what you do when you make that comparison is compare people who do not want to allow ever greater government encroachment into our lives to motherfucking slave owners. I'm tired of that rhetoric. Let it stop now.

If those we elect do not represent our wishes, we can chose not to elect them in the first place

How do we know this is going to happen? If they're telling us all the right things beforehand, we'd have no reason to think they wouldn't represent us.

2.  according the Conservatives,  passing any healthcare legislation at all is unconstitutional.

Jeez Warb, why don't you distort the reality a little bit?

The Runaways
Time

A few notes: (See, it's a music biopic; "Notes"! Hah!)

  • I've always been a little iffy on Kristen Stewart - sometimes she looks good, sometimes not. Playing Joan Jett definitely agrees w/KStew.
  • Dakota Fanning is sixteen. This is a public service for anyone here who was prepared to heap praise upon her attractiveness. Now that you know, please don't claim ignorance if someone gets pissed off at you. (If you are in her age group or sixteen is legal where you live, forget I said anything)
  • This movie looks interesting. On the one hand, Joan Jett the person irritates me to no end. On the other, she did have some damn good songs back in the day. On still another hand, she was hella hot too. I'll probably watch it at some point.

So. The Runaways?

POLL: How do You Mock Lucas' Name?
Time

Of all the snark and unpleasentness on the internet, I think the "mean version of someone's name" has to be the worst. It's like elementary school name calling.

Whenever I head "Lucash" or anything like that, all I can imagine is Adam Sandler as Billy Madison going "Chloryphyl? More like BOREaphyl!"

Yeah, you're right - but it was fun to do it back when we were all complaining about the GOUT. It's like yelling at the furniture after stubbing a toe on it - it's useless and achieves nothing, but it somehow beats not saying anything. I don't know why.

For the record, I've never been a Lucas basher. Not on a personal level, anyway.
