I Dl'd what I thought was Harmy's from what looked like a Polish file hosting site. Watching with my kids and was very surprised when Ben took Luke to view Mos Eisly from afar, Ben had some very CHOICE words to describe Mos that I wasn't too happy to have slinging past my 4 yr old. Anyone know which version that is and if I can expect more surprises like that?

Ah what are you smoking and can I get some?

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Stupid question coming....

Could it be that the blue screen was so close to the TIE models when they were being filmed that some of the studio light bounced off the screen and onto the models? The TIEs would be exposed to different shades of light? Is that why they ended up various shades of blue in ANH?

The bottom line is that it IS Ady's edit. All anyone can do is argue their point logically or illogically. There are plenty of extreme close-ups of the TIEs in action throughout ANH (specifically during the Falcon escape battle) and not once do they even remotely appear bluish in any way, shape or form. To do it for EMPIRE is one thing, as that is how they originally appeared. Considering that even Lucas has never blued the TIEs in any incarnation of ANH should say something.

not blue

In the end, this will probably be a good thing, being that it will give me one more reason to learn After Effects and other programs so I can re-color correct the TIEs to grey.

The TIEs appeared as blue in many shots in ANH. As we know, the GOUT is pretty faded and desaturated, losing a lot of the blue tints. You can't use this as a reference for colour. but even with the fading you can see shots where the TIEs are blue tinted, even in the scene you say they never appear bluish in any way shape or form

Now these were just 2 examples

The 1997 SE is supposed to be the closest for colour reference to how ANH originally looked (before the tinting added in 2004). Now there are many times that the TIEs are clearly blue tinted

And the model you posted the pic of was sold at auction in 2008 and the pic of the model used for the brochure shows that it wasn't as white as it looked in the bluescreen photo you posted:

Now the TIEs changed from grey to blue even in the original. They were never grey 100% of the time

Watch Ady's latest clip; in some cases, his TIEs are bluer than the originals (pause during the first fly-bys with the 3 SDs).

Now that's just not true and i posted links to screenshot comparisons a few pages back that proves that isn't the case.It may look that way in the youtube video because the blue may stand out more because of the tint added to the whole shot in 2004 coloured the stardestroyers in the background

Well it looks like ANH had the Great Flipper debate, ESB has the Great Blue TIE debate and i hate to think what the Great Debate fro ROTJ will be. ;)

Dam it! Just once I wish Adywan could be wrong about something!....;)

Seriously Adywan, you being proven correct all the time is annoying...LMAO

Good to know you are on our side and not working for the dark side of the force at Lucas Ranch.

Definitely not taking sides here, but I do sorta get where vbangle is coming from (in post 703, not 706). A lot of people got really excited the last time around, and felt pretty let down when -1 decided to leave and keep his toys to himself. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

That being said, I suppose it's possible that -1 has had a change of heart and intends to be cool about things this time around. Time will tell.

I wasn't going to post in this thread, but I felt like although vbangle is being characteristically rude, he does have a point.

I know I come off rude, it is not my intentions to do so but at the same time I don't really concern myself with how I sound either. I'm too old to care and life's too short.

(FOR HARMY) Jeez... People are way too dam sensitive here. That's what I mean by time to grow up.

(ALSO FOR HARMY AND ANYBODY ELSE WHO THINKS I'M A JERK) And yes -1 is spamming this thread looking for more people to go to his forum or blog. But I guess there's nothing wrong with that so once again I'm in the wrong. My opinion is shit. That much is clear.

If you have your own blog/forum/website why keep spamming it here?

Honestly you sound like a broken record. Haven't we've seen this before from you? What's next, you deleting all your posts and saying goodbye just like last time?

I agree with you that it is unnecessary to make so many posts here instead of his blog, but I don't get why you are attacking him? His project finally makes good progress after several years of preparation and he is willing to share information and the final result with us. This is very promising project and I think he deserves some recognition for it.

Asking questions is "attacking" someone? Time to grow up.

Actually, I'm definitely doing the BD now but it will come out later than the AVCHD and MKV, because it will need some work to make a BD release worthwhile.

Is the AVCHD and MKV going to be the same bitrate and quality as the BD?

Well that's surely possible. What you, Harmy, could do is to encode the video stream using settings for BD compliancy. You can also take this video stream and mux it straight into mkv. You'll only need to make two encodes then, one for BD and mkv and the second one for AVCHD (both 2pass ideally).

CRF is more ideal than 2pass ;)

Says who? You?
