will the theatrical version be done anytime soon? i wanna watch the one i saw in my cinema again (Australia)

It is quite difficult to watch the original version in my environment. It will take some time because of other editing tasks, but when it is ready, we will use the Blu-ray footage together to create the highest quality original version.

This project will resume once we have 35mm film for screening.

Is that likely? I’m very interested to see what the 35mm Greedo subtitles looked like in the Japanese release!

FY570-35MA, the subtitles on this laserdisc are similar to the specifications of the first theatrical release.
However, some of the subtitles need to be changed to those of the 2006 Bonus DVD.

Well, to be honest, it would be reasonable to reproduce the film using only past materials rather than waiting for the 35mm film to be leaked. Japanese visual materials, such as the Japanese opening of The Empire Strikes Back, are still scarce.

Have you looked into the Southeast Asian iTunes release? That was the original theatrical version.

For some reason, I was unable to watch it. Is it because it is in Japan? At any rate, I will try various things.
Of course, if the viewing is successful, an IMAX edit will be done on the original version.
Also, we need to make a version that is currently being shown in Japan.

Director Shinkai, you should include all of them on Blu-ray. Like Blade Runner!

I’m going to see a cinema-only version with a changed ending tomorrow. I hope this is the last version lol.

About yesterday’s screening:

There were no new videos, etc. The timing of Souta’s TADAIMA was different from that of the Blu-ray bonus video.
Was the video slightly slowed down? To get the dialogue in before KANATA HALUKA plays.
Personally, it was very good. It seemed less meandering than the bonus footage.

I will go to the cinema one more time. This is my 15th time lol.

Oh, and we’ll be releasing an IMAX version in the near future. I have already finished editing! All that’s left to do is upload.

Original Theatrical Opening:

Deleted

This video reproduces the specifications up to January in Japan. It was just the day of the distribution of Serizawa’s admission bonus novel. From February to March and for the Special Edition screenings in May, the animation in the middle of the film was changed to that of the Ethics Committee.

I’m going to see a cinema-only version with a changed ending tomorrow. I hope this is the last version lol.

Project Threepio (Star Wars OOT subtitles)
Time

Hi CatBus,

I first checked the subtitles for this project when I saw DEED v3.0 and I have a question about the Japanese language.
Who is the translator of these subtitles? There are two main types of Japanese subtitles, but this subtitle falls into neither category. And, not a few mistranslations. Is it possible to change to 2020 Blu-ray subtitles in the next version?
