Anyone know when this might be finished?
Anyone know when this might be finished?
Both parts of this edit are out and released
Ryan golden does a great James Earl Jones impression. it’s eerie use him for rogue one Vader’s lines he already has it out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmRRzpJDDv4
They did do a really good job at redubbing the original lines. I actually changed the lines for most of the dialog in my edit.
@lantern51 did you look at my link?
The edit is done and I have all of the dialog redubbed already. So honestly I didn’t look at it yet. I do appreciate it and if I do a future edit that I’m thinking about, I will for sure need that kind of help!
So I will be checking it out for sure.
I honestly don’t like Leia being there. I feel it makes her look extremely childish in ANH when they tell Vader they don’t know what he’s talking about. He was just there on the ship in the theatrical cut, he just watched you get the plans. It just doesn’t work for me.
To get around the shield gate, I removed dialog referring to them needing to blow a hole in the gate for the transfer. Now it’s just implied that they can just do the transfer but they still need to get a line out to make sure they know the transfer is coming.
Meanwhile the rebel fleet is still trying to open the gate because it’s their people that are trapped down there.
Then Vader shows up and you know the rest.
I had to do several audio separations and rescore music and add back in sound fx to accomplish this but I had people preview this before release and I have already been told that this is their go to. But they are already fans of my edits LOL so I don’t know how far to go with that compliment.
I felt this was the best of the Disney Star Wars movies. However, I also thought it could feel a bit more Star Wars like. So I added wipes to the movie and recolored it to feel like an older movie that was upgraded to HD instead of a movie filmed in HD. I also cut the moments that felt a little out of place or I just didn’t enjoy.I wanted to create a companion to my A New Hope Edit, but this still stands on it’s own.
Special Thanks:
-TM2YC for letting me use their opening crawl.
-DigModiFicaTion for letting me use the Star Wars style disclaimer at the beginning, letting me use his edit to get around the movie titles and going to when Jin wakes up, helping me with some of the Tarkin deep fakes.
-Shamook and derpfakes for doing the original Tarkin deep fakes.
As for the cuts that I am making:
The Return of the Jedi deleted scene with Luke building a lightsaber would be awesome!
I am currently working on a Rogue One prequel edit to this version of ANH. I wanted to wait until it’s released before posting the official forum on here. But those who are curious can check out the one on fanedit.org here:

great edit

FMA episodes 20 & 21 Cut reference to Lust being a part of Scars past.
Ed and Al square up against two guards that are just like Al; souls bound to armored suits. Ed however, may be in trouble as his auto mail malfunctions. FMA episodes 24 & 25 with a little of FMAB episode 10 Cut Juliet as an Homunculus.
As Al runs from Ed and Winry, desperate to know the truth about what he is, mercenaries swoop into the Ishbalan encampment where Scar is recovering and massacre helpless refugees. Al finds himself side by side with Scar, on a renegade mission against the state that Ed represents. Afterwards, Ed and Al claim they’ve quit their search for the Philosopher’s Stone and board a train heading south. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Hughes’ investigation of Lab Five leads him to a startling discovery of military corruption and conspiracy that could topple the entire national government.
There was a story about 2 brothers who had a natural talent for alchemy called Fullmetal Alchemist. This story was originally told in a manga, but before the manga was finished an anime was put out. The anime had to change and create some original story elements because the manga was still ongoing at the time.
After the manga had finished they wanted to revisit the anime with a version closer to the actual story told in the manga. This would be known as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The only thing was due to retreading some story elements told in the original anime, they shortened some story beats for FMAB.
Intention:
Online fans had come up with ways to watch some episodes of each mix and match FMA and FMAB to get the full story. One of these was told on Anime Planet here: https://www.anime-planet.com/users/Halex/lists/fullmetal-alchemist--watching-guide-191736
So I figured why not create replacement episodes for FMAB by combining the required viewing from FMA into longer episodes to create an actual manga cut for rewatching based on the Anime Planet article.
This is the first edit of this series that I might actually watch!
I’ve been looking for this?
So far this has been very positively received! I have 3 reviews on fanedit.org and the movie is rated 10 out of 10!
This is vastly different than the original cut. We have a new opening to recap the ending of Part 1 and a subsequent scene not seen in Part 1. The tone is less cartoonish and more balanced. There is a lot of new music and deleted material used to flesh out the movie. Much like Part 1 this has the focus on Peter and Gwen’s relationship without all the other distractions.
Electro is pushed back to a secondary villain and Harry is brought up to being the primary villain. Electro’s motivation is different as well. The accident simply drove him insane and he hears voices in his head.
uts and Additions:
Starting Part 2 with a recap of the end of Part 1
Cut the whole Roosevelt subplot.
Re-cut the opening with Gwen’s graduation speech with Spider-Man fighting the Rhino instead of the cartoonish opening it had with the car chase. Peter is no longer letting people die so he has time to crack jokes…
Cut all of Max Dillon’s introduction from opening
Rearranged graduation scenes to follow new continuity from Part 1.
Cut Max’s phone call during montage of Spider-Man phone calls
Cut Spider-Man talking to store clerk with a cold
Cut store clerk imitating web-shooters
Added deleted scene with Peter and Gwen are thinking about each other
Cut the whole “we don’t have a chimney” scene
Establish Max as he is walking into Oscorp
Cut all the clownish dialog. It’s simply Max in trouble for being late and his boss not believing that he created the electrical grid.
Shortened Max and Gwen on the elevator
Removed the TV wall that was used in Part 1 from the Norman Osborn death montage
Cut all references to everyone going home and Max has to stay by himself at Oscorp
Cut references to Max saying it’s his birthday
Trimmed the fixing of the bad wire connection and him falling into the eel tank
Trimmed the scene in the eel tank.
Added a trimmed version of the extended Morgue scene
Made several cuts, rearrangements and trims to Spider-Man and Electro’s first meet. The goal here is to make him less pathetic but still misunderstood and things get out of had just a bit too fast to be contained
Cut Peter thinking about Gwen because I used the longer scene earlier in the movie
Cut Harry seeing a file on the super suit. He is working on the project in the deleted scene.
Cut Peter watching YouTube to figure out how a battery works
Used deleted scene where Peter sees the battle suit and Harry tells Peter that he is dying in person rather than a phone call. There are a couple of spots where the CG skyline is missing, but like the deleted scenes in Part1, they may be just a little off but the story works better with them.
Cut the kiss in the broom closet
Made several cuts to Dr Kafka and Electro
Cut references to other plot lines between Peter and Gwen when she is at the Oxford interview
Used deleted scene of Gwen getting accepted. Color corrected Peter on the rooftop to look like early evening
Color corrected Harry and Felicia to also look later in the day because….
Added Gwen talking to Aunt May and this is supposed to be the following day
Cut Harry crying to Electro so much
Added deleted scene for Peter running home and Aunt May tells him about Gwen
Added Ext Harry transformation
Cut Spidey saying “I Hate This Song”.
Used the Deleted Alt ending. 1. This bookends the series as a whole. Part 1 opens with Peter and his dad and Pat 2 closes with them. 2. Garfield BRINGS IT! 3. We finally get the “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility” line.
Tons of rescoring of the movie!
Really enjoyed Part 1. It was one of the best Garfield-Spider-Man edits I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot. Looking forward to part 2. (obviously)
Awesome! Happy you liked it! I’m still hard at work on Part 2. It needs a bit more love to bring it in line with the first one LOL.

I have seen this and it is my preferred way to watch this version of Batman!
Working on Part 2 now so hopefully the gap will not be too long. I am doing a ton of work to that one, but it’s all about quality here!
I have a plain for this whole trilogy and this middle part will be touched up. I have it pretty much done, there are just a few tiny audio clean ups.
