Hmm… I’ll have to have a go at that.

This might be a hard sell but Hal would you possibly consider offering 3D versions to go along with your quality edits as every time I want to watch the 3D versions and pop in the disc I’m always reminded how bad those theatricals are.

For prequals I still go to an edit which is now over 10 years old and nothing still comes close to it, its called

You should check out StankPac’s Edit of Revenge of the Sith Special Edition although its old now its well worth the watch and still is my go for RotS to this day. 👍

First and foremost, wonderful job on the edit, it cuts a lot of the cringe and unnecessary bits. The colour grading is fantastic without it feeling too saturated or bright (some edits do go a little overboard in that regard). The movie flows way better and the death of Val is MUCH more emotionally laden this way. I never liked her sacrifice, it seemed out of place. This works a lot better.

Only thing I would change is the introduction/ beginning of the movie:

• Keep the establishing shot of Corellia as seen in the original. I feel it is important to show the world Han tries to escape. Grimy, industrial and bleak.
• Right after the establishing shot of the planet, keep the shortcircuiting scene but don’t intercut it with the title card (though I really like the creativity and execution of this). Keep everything after this the same, the pacing and selection of shots is perfect!
• Show the title card ‘Han Solo’ with a nice musical cue right after he finally enlists for the Empire saying his name “Han Solo”. Fade to black after and then to the demoting scene. That way, the cut between enlisting and the demoting scene feels like some time has passed. His escape from Corellia is separated more from the main story serving as a little introduction.

It’s a minor issue and the movie works like it is now too, but perhaps you consider the idea.

Last thing is I hope maybe you will also consider making a smaller file size closer to 3-4GB.

Thanks anyway, I really enjoyed the movie this way and it will be my main viewing of Solo from now on.

I’ve set all episodes for season 1 (1080p V4 - HDR versions) which I’ve seen so far to -150 ms audio delay which shows better results. Like what I’ve seen so far g00b but crawls definitely need tweaking, I’ll also play around with Chat gpt and see what I can come up and let you know.

Finished watching your final episode of season 5 and the entire The Clone Wars: Refocused has been a great watch from beginning to end. The two mystical force centric episodes were the weakest in my view but thats to do with the source material and not the editor who does a great job making them fit in more by making the scenes and context more dreamlike and not actual physical places within the galaxy which fits in more with the films.

Thanks Eddie Dean I now have a Clone Wars show I can always watch and reference with the StarWars story canon without all the issues the original has.

Just watched your Dissent on Umbara episode and wow, Thanks EddieDean without your efforts I would of never of seen it as I just couldn’t get into the poorly paced, kidified version of the standard Clone Wars. Great work 😁👌

Nice! I scrolled through some of the changes there and it looks like we have a similar vision for Boba. Are there any changes that were not in my film that you had ideas for me to add?

I’ve not finished your book 2 as yet so can’t compare but one thing in the BoBF that bothered me was that Boba left Fennec to sort out the person involved with killing his tusken family at the end of the show, then she anticlimactically just leaves through the door. I addressed that with an alternate ending idea which might interest you.

Also would it be possible to improve on the encode quality a bit as there’s quite a bit of image banding within the darker scenes, examples:

Furthermore, Boba’s content is good! As you proved with your own original Boba edits, it’s a show which really lands, when some tweaks are made.

I don’t know. I’m not trying to be difficult here - I’ve had loud opinions in your thread quite enough! I just urge you - completely respectfully - to think and be absolutely sure about what your top-level priorities are for the entire Way of Mandalore project, and see how your decisions align. That sounds patronising but I don’t mean it that way at all - many times during my own project I had to check myself and found my priorities drifting, and had to reign them back in and make tough choices. And hey, if you’re certain this is the vision you’re striving for, of course I’ll respect and support that. I’m really invested in this project, that’s the only reason I’m so passionate about it here!

Idea for S03E00 - Dreams of Destiny:
The episode works really well (where I’m at watching so far) but I think a vignette effect around the FoD dream scenes would really work to hit home your watching a memory/dream and lesson the sudden change in animaton styles somewhat.

Looking over EddieDeans The Clone Wars: Refocused spreadsheet creation for the first time!..

Just watched Prologue: Life and Death & a few of the first episodes and coming from someone that simply just couldn’t get into The Clone Wars, This way of watching them just simply works. I’ll give my full review at IFDB once I’ve finished it all. Thank you EddieDean for this 👍

I hope Pixeljoker is able to divert the TV shows story enough to convey a more character driven story. If Pixeljoker was to even get one idea from this collaboration edit for his Jedi master version of all Kenobi edits then that could only be a plus. 😀👍

Kenobi Movie - Guardian of the Force

This is a revised version of daneditors original: Guardian of the Force (an Obi-Wan movie edit) which looks to change the TV show back to its original intended movie story telling style. Guardian of the Force is a best of all Kenobi movie edits which uses Spence V3 as a base and comprising of all the best and popular ideas from other Kenobi movie edits from Kai Patterson, FaMe and Pentex Productions.

The main changes are the removal of the first fight with Vader, Leia getting kidnapped a second time, completely cutting fortress Inquisitorius from the story (along with its many issues!) as well as addressing Revas story arc. All this reworked into a tighter and more compelling storyline within a movie length edit.

The main additions I’ve added to daneditors original version are:

• Slightly brightened the original drab TV shows colour
• Tightened the Tatooine planet transition after the intro crawl
• Cutting from Anakins “I hate you” in the dream scene to Kenobi waking up
• Darkened the broken Lola scene some more to hide the added mask by daneditor
• Rearranged and slightly trimmed the headless Jedi hanging scene
• Removed Reva stepping over a “dead” grand Inquisitor and then her running up and standing right next to the ship which Kenobi and Leia are leaving on.
• Removed Kenobi flashing his blaster to the audience as he hops off the vehicle at the stormtrooper checkgate as well as zoomed the screen in to remove seeing his blaster pointing at the stormtroopers while hes on the floor right before Tala shoots the stormtroopers.
• Showed less of Kenobis ship dodging blasts while being pursued by Vaders ship
• Added the end scene of the Anakin vs Kenobi flashback training fight into the scene where Kenobi is under the rubble and pitched Anakins voice to sound like him from the prequels to better match the de-aged Anakin scenes.
