The "bear and lion" "sketch" from the Teletubbies.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7poly4w8800

What's really "so bad it's good" there is the voice acting, especially by the bear - what kinda stupid distorted old witch granny voice is that??

Other than that, the notion of putting something this off and creepy (especially the bear) into a cartoon for babies is so bad, it's legendary. The whole show is so weird and depressing, it's remarkable ;)

Rebecca Black, the "female answer to Justin Bieber", with her single "Friday". Has recently grown into an internet sensation due to its "so bad it's good" factor (admit it folks, that's what it is) and spawning endless ridicule and parodies.

I've just read she feels depressed and upset about the negative backlash, which kinda puts a damper on the whole fun factor of this all. But hey, you know - with her looks, she doesn't have any particular reason to be insecure and depressed. She's just made a shitty, kitschy music video and can't sing particularly well - so fuckin' what Rebecca, distance your ego from your art and you'll be fine!

Or maybe it's because she's 13?

Seriously.

Well maybe reading up her age on Wikipedia could've done something to my circulation as well. Should I have? Point is, I couldn't tell her age from the video (people grow up differently, you know - there are those two girls I know from school, one looks like she's 14 at most, the other is one head taller than me and might as well be 23 or something; they're both around 18 and go to the same class; and are equally attractive as far as I'm concerned) - she looks like a teenager rather than a child, to me, and might as well be around 18.

I was rather surprised to learn that Lindsay Ellis, a.k.a. the Nostalgia Chick, was born 81 - looked like 22 to me, at most. But hey, guess she's an old hag now, so screw 'er.

You're 65, right? Or not? Maybe your perspective and perception are different from those of a 20 years old... just sayin'. At any rate, quit being so pervenoid ;)

Are you saying if she were like 30 and made those obnoxious faces, you would like that any bit? Be REALLY careful about what you're going to say now...

Btw does anyone else find Apocalyptica's cover of Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist" harder and more exciting than the originals?

The original is just a kinda neat metal song with cool edgy harmony and really aggressive shout vocals. The cello version (at least the studio version - the live versions I've seen, not so much)... is a REVELATION.

Natalie Portman hot? Honestly, seeing her in "The Professional" or this new movie with Ashton Kutcher, AFTER seeing the prequels, makes one jump out in sheer surprise at just how hot she is. If you get he drift.

I've read this four times and I can't figure out if you think she's hot or not.  If you think not, then you are insane.  But if you DO think she's hot, and you're using "The Professional" as an example, well...

Either way this doesn't make much sense.

Well, hey, I'm not old enough to be counted as a perv for that, and the last time I watched that movie, I was around 16. So there.

Plus, she does play a kind of lolita in that movie (even though I've always thought that "subplot" was completely unnecessary - gotta love Reno spitting his coffee, though, so maybe it was worth the trouble?):

If anyone's pervy, it's her (and every creep involved in the production) :D

Not sure what's so hard to understand about my post. I don't find her hot in the prequels, it's this simple. All she manages to be there is looking "pretty", even when she's wearing that SM outfit at the fireside. Why? Well, maybe it's the underacting and downplayed personality?

The only time she ought to be hot in the whole series is when she winks-winks eyebrows-eyebrows at her new decoy and says "well, then my Jedi protector will have to show what he's got", or something like that, and Anakin is giving her that creepy sex look from behind again. Except that scene makes me cringe so hard, that... no. No, not hot at all.

At any rate, I find the Insurrection extra hotter than that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmUzoIENIXc#t=281

I also don't find that "Friday" chick hot, btw. Why? Well, I'm not sure, but from what it appears, my brain needs way too much blood to process this much cheese and stupidity... and neither does my brain have an easy time to process the sound of Nat reading her lines in the prequels.

Ah, Qui-Gon, you amazing bastard. To have learned how to merge with the Force and retain your personality after passing the point-of-no-return that is death is truly a sign that the midi-chlorians are strong in you. Kudos!

While I appreciate the virtual milkshake, I really don't understand what's wrong. The fact that he can teach it to others is important. But then again, there is no point in arguing or searching nits about a script part that was cut and never used for the movie.

Congratulations! You didn't read the thread.

Personally, I think it was best to leave it on the cutting room floor as it didn't have a proper set-up in earlier movies.  Had Quigon actually disappeared or had there been some actual discussion of it earlier in the prequels, it could have been done right.

As it is now, there is a strange attempt to have Quigon yell "Noooooooooo!!!!" in AOTC, but it doesn't sound like him (for obvious reasons) so when he appears to Yoda in ROTS, it seems rushed.  I think the reason it was cut was movie was too long anyway, but had George set it up more earlier, he might have had to keep it in.

Wait, wait... the part where he screams "Anakin", that's... is that stock recording from that part where he warns him about Darth Maul?? Never thought about it.... I'd thought they'd paid Neeson to speak one line for the new movie...

The Anakin lines were looped from TPM and the Noooooo!!!!!* was performed by Ben Burtt.

*Why does NOOOOOO!!!! have to be the reoccurring theme of the PT?  Lame.

So after all tgese tortutred years, I finally do understand why the NO sounded so differently... guess I just thought that's what he screams like?

I mean WOW... how FUCKING cheap.

I mean, just to be fair, could it be that Jinn screams differently on the other side than he did when he was alive (his voval chords must've been worn out, haha)? I guess it's possible... anything's possible with ghosts! But y'know what I think? Well...

I could name a lot of things here, but I'm not sure how seriously to take this thread right now, so I'll pass.

Lots of other things that feel wrong about this dialog:

Why does Qui-Gon say "no thought of self" right after talking about the possibility of "avoiding oblivion" while retaining consciousness, and DEMONSTRATING THAT HIMSELF WHILE HE'S SPEAKING?

Then there's that Shaman of Dshinghis reference... WHY is it in the script??!

Through compassion, not greed? Oh, so the Jedi and force ghost thing is established as good, not evil, thanks. You see, it's achieved with "compassion". If you're not going to elaborate on that, just fucking strike it out or it remains as a horrible artificially shoved-in cliché so obviously there to serve as checkbox.

Then, how come Yoda never ever mentioned Qui-Gon in EpV and VI, given that he had been his "apprentice" in becoming a ghost? I mean, everyone else keeps talking about Qui-Gon in those movies, why not Yoda??!

That whole scene reads like it was written by a 7 year old. Could it have been delivered well with some good acting (and actor's modification)? Maybe. But it was right about staying the fuck out of the movie.

Another thing is wrong with this picture - force ghosts had never been established as living up to that "unimaginable power" Ben was boasting about before his death in the OT.

The maximum he accomplished was guiding Luke through the dogfight, which he could've done just as well alive, meditatin' or something, other than that his whole purpose was spouting off expository dialogue and joining in at celebrations.

No need to shine a giant spotlight at that (somewhat forgiveable) flaw from the OT, by shoehorning in a truly pointless scene with the sole purpose of fanservice and continuinty nod.

It's like "yay, Qui-Gon Jinn started this whole ghost thing! He teaches Yoda and Obi-Wan how to do that so in the next movies they can transform into ghosts and continue supplying our main hero with exposition! wait, why am I watching this?"

More powerful than any Sith? My ass is more powerful than any Sith. It all comes down to the width of the lightsaber, baby...

hahahaeha... a classic :D (the Nostalgia Critic uses that for every Ahnold movie he reviews xd) I'm wondering if there's any spoof of Jake Lloyd's GODAWFUL "you need to keep your promises if you wanna keep your friends" line - quite a feat to have the most annoying, silly delivery and line when you're starring next to Arnie, though, I must admit ;) Definitely a contender for this thread! Actually, Lloyd's whole performance in that movie, if I think about it - Anakin was just kinda annoying; in that movie, he gets to go all the way!! I love how he "dances" in front of the screen when watching some "Turboman" episode on TV... ouch.

Florence Foster Jenkins!  I'd been meaning for a link to her, um.. talent but I forgot her name.

Heh :D

There's something very entertaining and hilarious about this kind of thing being found in the "high culture", probably because most of it is in the pop culture :D

For a "comedy" example (as this is apparently allowed now), I freakin love the "shred videos" on youtube!
