If your going for a ban. You might as, well take advantage of the 7 day Hyperspace free trial(if you bought the ROTS DVD). Save a whole bunch of the video's to a CD, DVD or, harddrive. Then, on the seventh day make your post. The post might have to contain something about the Unaltered trilogy on DVD. Basically, the stuff Invader Jenny said might do it. Also, if you post something against the TOS should help.

Green screen, CGI and the 'Minute' documentary from ROTS
Time
I'm reminded of a behind the scenes green screen shot with Padme getting out of a car. Only the "car" was three green boxes and, the rest of the "set" was one room of green. I don't see why they choose not to build the transports that they're supposed to be in. Then, I'm reminded of a comment I read about George Lucas basically saying that he pushed himself to do more then a shy person could do. Hence, saying that he was shy as, well. So mabye the reason he uses all this green screen stuff and, tries to make the actors go "faster and, more intense". Is because he's shy and, wants to not have to direct the actors for long periods of time.

In regards to the CGI in TPM you can see a leftover of the cue that Liam got in Watto's shop. When he says "My droid has a read out of all we need." You can see him turn like he was told Watto would be there. This is purely my assumption though but, it sure does look like it. It's funny that in the documentary he worries about Jar Jar's eye's going forward but, not that the shot is un-needed in the scene.

Trooperman: I read your notes and, your notes are a lot more organized then mine. Mine consists of a lot of "Cut to", "scene plays out", and "(insert something about a line here)". I have a comment about the geonosis droid scene. I like the way that you wrote it out take or, leave this suggestion. Mabye C3PO could say "Where are you going now? That means I am in charge here. Have you no sense at all?" Or, cut it to "Where are you going now? I am in charge here. Have you no sense at all?" like C3PO is trying to take control of R2 but, fails. Though, the way you wrote it, it works. So, take it or leave it. Also, I think somewhere in LOTR Christopher Lee says something like "Kill the others." I'll look at my DVD for the chapter. Also, happy holidays.

Okay, I looked and, it's on LOTR fellowship Chapter 13 at approximatly 1 hour 1 minute on disc two. It's after the man flesh speech.

In a biography thing I think he said that his adopting of his son was attributed to his daughters. Basically, He wanted another daughter but, his daughters wanted a brother. So he gave in. If they can make him adopt another human being. Then, they can make him do anything. I'de bet money that if they wanted the original trilogy on DVD(sans SE) to be released it would be announced(and, in production) the next morning.

That's almost the way that I wanted to start my edit. Though, I never thought of the slowing down the ship landing part and, I never thought of reversing the shots. Pretty good thinking there. *thumbs up icon* this edit is getting off to a good start. I offer my help in this edit but, right now I don't have any editing software. So, I might be able to paint out Siddious in that hologram shot if you want it(the one where he's in the chair and, I read that you guys want him to tune in). I'm not guaranteeing anything but, I can try to paint him out of the frame. That is if your still using that scene.

I'm only recently started writing stuff down for my edit. So, I have two or, three pages at most right now. I'm also, glad that you decided to not use the Laura theme. Here's a breaking glass sound. I have the same comment on the worms as CC. I don't really think that it blends well. Is there a way to make the biting worm white or, change the brightness of the scene differently to make the other worms black or, harder to see? Then again changing the shot so that it's after the worms move might make it blend already...

The Star Wars Saga - From a newcomer's point of view
Time
Hm, if the poster who posted that actually did that. From a scientific point of view his test is null and, void. To come to a valid conclusion he would have to get at least 3 more participants. Also, he would have to show the original tester the original trilogy to see what her oppions of them are. Especially since she mentions the pacing is slow in the original trilogy but, she was watching the DVD editions. Therefore, she was watching the versions with more stuff added in. Thus, the pacing is slower. Who knows Empire might become her favorite if she saw the original version. Plus, the original versions of the prequels. Then, he would have to show the second participant the Original trilogy(sans Special edition) then the Prequel trilogy(sans Special editions). Then, show another person the Prequel trilogy(sans Special edition) with the Original trilogy(sans Special edition). Then show another person the prequel trilogy with the Original trilogy(sans Special edition). Then, compile thier reactions to reach a semi-clear consensus of how the saga should be shown. From my point of view the saga should be shown to newcomers in it's original version(all the movies with no general order).

Why do they go into exile?
Time
Well, here is the screenplay. The only insight it says in there on this matter are the following.
Obiwan: I will take the child and, watch over him. Master Yoda, do you think Anakin's twins will be able to defeat Darth Siddious?
Yoda: Strong the force runs in the Skywalker line. Hope we can...Done, it is. Until the time is right dissappear we will.

And, in the Quigon thing:
Yoda: Failed to stop the sith lord, I have. Still much to learn there is...
Quigon: Patience. You will have time. I did not.

So, basically one can deduce from the screenplay. That they didn't go after Siddious becuase, they were in training with Quigon. Although, I would say that Yoda wasn't as, healthy as he was before the battle. He did get blasted with lighting, had to avoid those floaty circles, got blasted with lighting again, and fell down a distance after all. Obiwan wasn't powerful enough to fight Siddious on his own. So, they had to train with Quigon and, then they couldn't get siddious when they had recovered. Since the Empire was more powerful then before thus, they had to wait. Not only that the thought of the twins were fresh on their minds. So, they would probably give away that to the Emperor too. Then, again it could just be that both Yoda and, Obiwan got sick after the fights and, needed time off.

I've read through, the ideas here and, I do think it is interesting what people are coming up with here. I do like the idea of taking away Obiwan's lie. I wonder how your going to construct the Empire scene and, the jedi scene's with this in mind. Mabye something like this for the empire scene:
"Obiwan never told you what happened to your father"
"He told me enough"
"Did he? Then you know."
(luke doesn't say anything and, just moves farther down on the thing he's holding.)
"Obiwan killed your father"
"That's not true! That's not possible!"
"Join me and, we can (close-up of Luke) rule the galaxy!"
(luke jumps)

Though, that's just becuase, I read that you want him to say Obiwan killed his father... The "Then you know" part might be hard to find I don't know if Vader actually says that in the movies.... Mabye you could replace it with "search your feelings"...

OT: Your thoughts betray you. Now Obiwan's failure is complete. *kills PT Vader*

*PT Anakin turns into Force ghost*

OT Vader: What!?!?

I know there isn't a scene in there like that but, I just thought of that. Here's one from AOTC.

The meeting with the queen scene:

Anakin: Excuse me, I'm in charge of Security here m'lady.
Padme: And, this is my home I know it very well.
Anakin: Then, why when, were supposed to be in hiding are we meeting with these people anyway? You aren't conserned that one of these people might tell someone that you've left that captian guy? Ah, nevermind it's a moot point Lucas won't even think about that. He's too busy trying to get the CG doubles to work and, the CG Yoda to say "The Shroud of the Darkside has fallen. Begun this clone war has.".

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)
Time
I see there is talk of edits after Episode II. Well, (and, Trooperman I hope that you don't mind me talking about my edits again in this thread) these are the crawls I was thinking of using for episode I and, III.

Star Wars

Conflict has arisen in
the Galatic Republic. The
taxation of trade routes
to the outer star systems
is in dispute.

The Trade Federation has
stopped all shipping to
the small planet of
Naboo, In a desperate
move with a blockade
of deadly battleships.

The Supreme Chancellor has
informed Queen Amidala that
he has secretly dispatched
two Jedi Knights, the
guardians of peace and
justice in the galaxy, to
settle the conflict....

Episode III
THE SITH TAKE REVENGE

The fires of the Clone Wars
are burning throughout the galaxy. The
CONFEDERACY OF INDEPENDANT SYSTEMS
has dealt one crippling blow after another
to the Republic.

Recalled from a battlefront in
the Outer Rim, General Kenobi and
Anakin return to Coruscant
to find that, the malicious cyborg
General Grievous has infiltrated the capital
and abducted Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.

As the Separatist Droid Army flees Coruscant
with its valuable hostage, the Jedi Order send
three Jedi to rescue the captive chancellor....

Where I got the confederacy of independant systems part is from the game's book intro. Which reads:

The fires of the Clone Wars are burning throughout
ever corner of the galaxy. Guided by the Sith and
under the direct leadership of Count Dooku, the
Confederacy of Independent Systems has dealt one
crippling blow after another to the Republic. Recalled
from a battlefront in the Outer Rim, Obi-Wan Kenobi and
Anakin Skywalker return to Coruscant to find the planet
under siege. Seeking to drive the Republic into further
chaos, the malicious cyborg General Grievous has
infiltrated the capital and abducted Supreme Chancellor
Palpatine. As the Separatist army flees Coruscant
with its prize, Obi-Wan and Anakin lead an urgent
rescue mission to free the captive Chancellor.
The fate of the galaxy rides with them; failure could mean
an end to the war... and to the Republic itself.

I don't know how well you could add backstory to the Jedi in a prologe. At least without the crawl going on for too long.
Also, I read about trying to make Darth Maul = Grevious and, I think it's a bad idea. If he didn't die the way he did I wouldn't mind it at all. However, he dies by being sliced in half. If they have the technology to save a person from that. Then, a lot of the deaths become questioned. Especially, when you do get to episode III(Is Mace now in a suit? Did, Palpatine put Dooku in a suit[the head does live for a few minutes after getting cut off and, his body might on the half that landed and, blood loss wouldn't be an issue so, he would live even longer mabye ten or, twenty minutes]? Who else is in a suit? ). Also, in the original trilogy the technology's supposed to be even more advanced so, that brings into question the danger of all the characters. If some one in that same universe can survive being choped in half why be afriad that anyone get's hurt at all? So, basically what I'm saying is that if you can make it so that he dies whole then, I wouldn't be against it but, as it is now it just brings up more questions. It is possible with editing though. He's whole until he flips over. You could let it go on a little bit more so, that he's cut but, not fully and, that's why he would need the suit.

It, it allowed me to be in the original trilogy as, well. I feel just more embedded in, in, in the saga. So, so I really, I really liked it. "

Darth Chaltab, Adamwankenobi, I know the intent of the scene and, on it's own it accomplishes that. However, in the conversation with Obiwan and, Padme he's pretty damn sure of himself. It makes me think that Vader has completely taken over. Then, he turns a 360 after the duel and, says "Is she alright? Is she safe?" When before the duel he was about to kill her for turning against him! I digress your oppinions my oppinions are just opposite about the scene.

Oh, yeah and, while there's talk of the wipe. I found an image of it here.

And then, he is told that in this very anger, he killed her? I think that is quite the justified "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" Read Mattew Stover's novelization, which gives a very in-depth look into his mind at that point, and gets into his feelings and the exact situation he was in.

The problem is that I'm talking about the movie Vader in ROTS not the novelization. In the movie he says these words "YOU brought him here to kill me!", "YOUR with him!". Then, he force chokes her and, expects her to live after childbirth after that? If he were still Anakin I would understand the distraughted "no" but, he's Vader at that point suit and, all. Anakin's emotions should have died in that conversation with Padme(sort of like how Obiwan says in 6 "the good man who was your father was destroyed"). Only returning when his son tries to turn him back to the light side. I'm sure you'll come up with another explination to dispute this. Though, in the theater when I watched it, it didn't really bother me. In repeat viewings it becomes weirder(to me) don't know why.

Luke's no in ESB = A kid that finds out that this guy in a big black suit is his father. Was in charge of the Stormtroopers, thus is responcible for his Aunt and, Uncle's death's and, a whole lot more deaths. He also, killed Obiwan and, didn't stop Alderan's distruction. He also, was going to kill him and, his friends without giving it a second thought. Until he had a conversation with the Emperor that made him decide to try to lure him to the Darkside. Oh, yeah and, before he told him he thought, he was the killer of his father.

Darth Vader's no in ROTS = After killing a whole bunch of people and, turning to the darkside. Then, thinking Padme turned against him. Force choked her and, was suprised to hear that he killed her....

Luke's no seems a lot more justifiable to me then Vader's... Though when I watched ROTS in the theaters I half expected an evil laugh from Vader.

Three, it isn't out of character and, he isn't revealing anything to Obi-wan. Mabye replacing the queen with Padme would make it more personal... "Your going to pay for threatening Padme!"

THE ALL NEW PSYCHO REVIEW HAS MOVED
Time
Hi, I was reading back in this thread and, there was some talk about the four disc Back to the future thing being released. I have information on that.
Article on BTTF.com
Another article about the specs
Another thread about the 4-disc

Basically from what I can gather it's trying to fix the framing mistake in the first set. Also, giving the people outside of the R1 users to get the bonus features that were only availible previously to the R1 set. So, basically if you have the R1 corrected set already you don't need to get that set. If you want the R1 corrected set you can buy it here. Also, here's a webpage with more information about it. on that page you'll also, find numbers/e-mails to (mabye) get the V2[corrected] disc's. I don't know if there still sending them out because, it's been a long time since. Also, on that page there's images to show how to determine if you have the corrected set.

here's also, another F.A.Q. about it
Here's another thread with addresses
Keep in mind the above threads are old...

Also, if you want to know why it happened in the first place. I'll tell you. The company they hired to do the transfer mistakenly used the ILM 1:66 plates for the transfer of the II and, III DVD's. Thus, the incorrect framing. So, Robert Zemekis or, Bob gale(I forgot which) found out about it and, got Universal to fix the problems and, offer replacements. Universal didn't advertise about it though, so those that got the fixed versions are basically the one's that were lucky enough to find out about it. Thus, the V2 versions are somewhat of a rarity.
Plus, the V2's were also, re-released but, not advertised as, the fixed versions. Just "the lowest price ever" bttf.com article about it. The only way to distinguish the V1's from the V2's on store shelf's is the orange sticker saying "All 3 Movies! Lowest Price Ever". Although, I don't know if they are still on store shelf's.

Additionally, the only reason the four disc release is happening at all is becuase, of the mis-framing. If that never would have happened, then there would only be one version out of BTTF trilogy per region(and, some stray single BTTF 1 DVD's out there). Yes, the R1 version would be the version with more extra's but, that's because the other regions were released before the R1. Thus, didn't get as, much extra's.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and, I almost forgot to mention. I read that some people were conteplating on a BTTF 4. Well, either Robert Zemekis or, Bob gale own the characters and, they don't want to do a BTTF 4(Universal owns the name Back to the future). So, if there is a BTTF 4 it won't be with Marty, Emmit, Clara, George, Biff, basically anyone in the first three.
