Sorry but I did not clarify it, how can it be done to download "Evil Dead 2 Workprint" (the link is in the ancient message) because bizarrely the URL works only on some software, and the video is poor quality.

I downloaded videos on "Google Vidéo" and that worked while with this link, that does not work.

No offense, but I am not exactly sure what you are trying to say? Do you mean the url did not work in keepvid.com???

update: keepvid does work with the url you posted for the google video but only offers a lower quality flv file. Then again this could be the same format that is being used on the google video version. I can download this if you like

I would have to dig it out, but a while back I got a dvd from someone that had the evil dead 2 workprint on it. If am not mistaken I believe the quality was pretty decent. I will have to find it now

update update: used another program for the google video. The actual file they used (well google converted to) is flv format. This means my downloaded one should be what you are seeing, let me know if you need this

ok viewing it now, if you make the picture anything larger than the google video window it turns into a horrible blocky mess (worse then the block noise it already has. The specs for it are as follows:

Video: Flash Video 1 320x240 [Video]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 22050Hz mono 64Kbps [Audio]

I would like to know if somebody knows how to keep a video of youtube or other of good quality when this one is downloaded ?
Why the video of the workprint of "Evil Dead 2" is of hideous quality by the middle of the video whereas at this address http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2491071648713661994&ei=PywYSv3VJIft-Abwp8S8AQ&q=workprint, the image is correct during all the film ?

You use the software "VirtualDub", what filters do you use because I'm very interested by the treatments videos.

THANK YOU.

snagging videos off youtube is very easy. In fact, go here:

www.keepvid.com

this online site will take the video and let you save it as an flv (lower quality) or higher quality (mp4) if available.

to get the url: on youtube, view a clip and on the right side you will see a box that says "url". Copy the whole link in that box and paste this into the keepvid address box and hit download (on the the right).

keepvid will then give you the two choices for download (toward the bottom left) for mp4, right click and choose "save as"

--that's it

forgive the incoherence in my wording, been up for 26 hours

PS: not sure if you want to use them for anything, but I converted 2 small clips of evil dead into true 3d (using a few video layers and masking, etc). I threw then up on youtube and if you do view them make sure you hit the HQ button otherwise the 3d effect will not display properly

King kong 1933 (AND MORE) in 3d video clip!
Time

*** if I add any other video clips they will be posted in replies below

Here you go. I made a rough test clip of how you can turn a 2d movie into a true 3d one

RED LENS OVER LEFT EYE AND DIM THE LIGHTS
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THE "HQ" BOX BECAUSE THIS WILL GIVE YOU A VERY NICE CLEAR PICTURE AND BETTER 3D VIEW--ENJOY

Youtube's quality is crap which is why I stressed hitting the HQ option as that really makes the video amazingly clear and that then gives you a very good 3d effect the way it should be seen and the way I made it

Help: looking for... MonstersHD - and other projects

I've been hoping for The Boogens, but it doesn't seem like anyone ever recorded it...

Would love to have that in HD!

Well if it helps, copies of the remastered version from the IFC channel are floating around. However my gripe with this (and probably the widescreen version off monstersHD) was that it appears to be over-matted

below is a comparison of how the matting (so most can have the film 16x9) is a little too much and seems to destroy the overall composition. In fact my full frame vhs (original tape) appears to have much better clarity. At any rate the pic is below

PS: I do not care if it is matted , but if anyone has the MonstersHD edition for Octaman, please get in touch.
