Yeah, he admits it himself that the concept of a 'used future' was part of SW's success. He said that the ships and settings looked more believeable because they didn't look like they had that 'new car smell', and I agree. BUT WHY DID HE SAY THIS ON THE 2004 DVD BONUS DISC AFTER HAVING COMPLETELY IGNORED THESE IDEAS IN THE LAST 20 YEARS?!

Hell, I'm surprised he was still able to recall what made the OT such a success...everything he mentioned was another reason why the PT sucked.

Yeah, sorry about the spamming guys. I was under the impression that that was what this thread was for, anyway. I'm not very partial to replying to EVERY thread I ever set eyes on, so racking up my post count is not my forté. I'm sure if I didn't blurt out all my content at once, I'd have a lot more posts to my name. I'm sure that Jay will forgive me, I have a pretty good history with spamming. i.e. This is the only thread I've ever spammed, probably ever. So Jay and crew, I promise not to spam again, as I would rather be known for the quality of my posts, than their quantity.

I hated Animaniacs.

I hated Snarf, I just didn't realise it. I thought Mum-ra was cool.

Smurfette wasn't on the list because she was kinda cool. Wasn't she created by Gargamel to lure the Smurfs into a trap, and the idea backfired and she became one of them? And I thought she was hot, too.

The only Transformers leader I knew of initially was Rodimus Prime, so initially I didn't care, but boy was I freaked out when I found out about Optimus. When Optimus came back, I decided that he was wayyy better and that the idea for Rodimus was kinda lame. See, what made me biased initially is that Rodimus Prime was the first Transformers figure I ever got.
