I recognise that your CONSTANT CAPITALISATIONS is the way of things, but I was just wondering...for all intensive purposes, do you simply leave your capslock on ALL the time? Or do you use 'Shift'? Or do you turn it on and off all the time? Or do you have a little rock that you put on your keyboard or something?

Does anybody know the new dialogue? I have a feeling it gives away the 'I am your father' revelation too early. A friend of mine watched Star Wars for the first time (order IV, V, VI, III), and figured it out from that scene.

Fer shaw! I think that's what finally got me on this site. I think I found it when I googled 'prequels suck' or something like that!

Just because it wasn't finished for 20 years doesn't mean it took 20 years to build. There could have been exhaustive strikes and the like, which Vader "took care of" during those 20 years. Who knows?
I know EU is canon, but I haven't read any of them, so frankly, they're not my canon.

I wouldn't worry about it, dude - the EU is NOT canon, and probably never will be. The only elements of EU that are canon are those used in the films.
Although, in my mind, the O-OT is the only thing that should be canon. It's the only way it won't contradict itself.

Yet Han still shoots first at Darth Vader in ESB when Vader was just occupying the physical space, making no move to attack Han, yet Han shoots at him anyway. Why isn't that murder? It was murder for Han to shoot Greedo first when Greedo so clearly wanted to waste Han but it's not murder for Han to shoot at Vader when Vader did not display any signs of attacking Han. That's just screwed up.
I fear that all the Alec Guinness ghosts will have Guinness replaced with a ghost of the young Ewan McGregor.
The special editions suck, the worst offenses being the digital replacements of Clive Revill as the ESB Emperor and Sebastian Shaw as Anakin's ghost in ROTJ. These changes were uncalled for and are disrespectful to the original actors. George Lucas is a hypocrtical asshole.

Let's not forget that Greedo is a professional killer (i.e. he kills as a profession), so for him to miss at such a range is criminal in itself!

VADER
Don't be too proud of this
technological terror you've
constructed. The ability to destroy
a planet is insignificant next to
the power of the Force.
By the sounds of it, Motti had it constructed, and he looked about 30-something years old in ANH by my estimation.

If you were an Australian, you'd realise just how irritating it is to hear a New Zealander's voice in a Star Wars movie, let alone a good Star Wars movie. It ruins ESB for me. I would have been able to watch my 2004 ESB DVD if it wasn't for Temeura Morrison. Does anyone else realise how much cooler the original voice of Boba Fett is in comparison?

That's the main differenc between me and many here. I have no OOT nastalgia that blinds me. I can see that the OT films are great, no matter what format, but do have the ability to be improved upon.

You *could* say that nostalgia blinds us. You could also say that an affinity for special effects blinds you. *OR* you could say what all of us O-OTers have been saying all along: updated effects are great, so long as they don't alter the plot points or characterisations. The only part of Star Wars I have nostalgia for is a storyline untampered with, without distractions or extraneous crap, where Han shoots first. I would swallow re-rotoscroped lightsabers and CG Bespins whole if the plot points were preserved.

If someone says 'Empire definitely' they're just answering the question with their opinion. They don't need to say it's their opinion, 'cause it's their writing next to their username, so of course it's their opinion.
But you were actually imploring people to all of a sudden change their minds and agree with you that ROTS is at least equal to ESB.
"Oh, actually, come to think of it, I agree with you. ROTS IS at least equal to ESB!"
This, of course, has nothing to do with the price of eggs in China.

Absolute statements like this aren't really opinion unless you put the words 'I think' in front of it...
That's my opinion anyway.
