I’m done, Rendering it now.
If you want it just PM me.
FYI it’s ProRes, so its rather large.

Wow, already?! That’s awesome! Does it have the reanimated blaster bolts and new visual effects or just the color correction?

No, this isn’t the finished edit this is just the master, that the edit will be built on.

Star Wars: A New Hope DEVASTATOR EDITION (V.2 a WIP)
Time

UPDATE.
happy Halloween!
Starting from today, I will be using the 2019 master as a secondary source to the old Blu-ray.
considering the extra detail, I will be replacing shit shots with this new master. And the first scene on tatooine
will be completely replaced with this source. And for scenes that don’t look good in EITHER master, will be replaced with 4K77. this source will be released as a “master” for editors to use and what not. there also will be slight despecializing in this version too. Remember this version is not going to have effects, this is just the master that the effects will be built on.

Here are some examples:
(these are actually adywan’s samples, I’m just using them as an example.)

Now onto Devastator, I will be redoing a lot of shots, that I was either too lazy, or two purist to work on.
Such as the death star battle. mos eisly and other things.

Good morning, folks.

I have been trying to snag the 1080 copy of this for several days now. I’m using Jdownloader and it’s telling me it will complete in 12 days.

Does anyone have a .MOV of this somewhere on a google drive that I can download from seeing as it’s been out for a bit now?

Thanks regardless!

I’ve got the 720p version on google drive if you want, just send me a pm.

Removing burned-in subtitles from Adywan's ANH:Revisited.

Unfortunately that method won’t work, as the subtitles are burned-in during parts where Han and Greedo talk in the Cantina. I could easily replace the subtitles where Han is talking, but I can’t replace it during Greedo’s scenes, as it would wipe out the amazing VFX work that Adywan did.
So, it looks like I’m stuck with these subtitles!
I had been hoping to replace the subtitles, so that they would match the original releases, such as what you see on the 4K77 release.

Cheers,

That’s a good idea! I will try that out.
Thanks very much!

The subtitles are actually burned in. But I think the best way to do it, is to got to the end frame where the subtitle fades off, and just take a freeze frame of that and place that part on the rest or the moving footage.
I may actually give it a go later.

How’d it go?

Well can’t you just replace that scene with adywan’s color adjusted Blu-ray?
(which I can hook you up, just send me a pm.)
