This was fully released. It wasn’t some “rare” release. What’s the mystery about? It’s easily downloaded https://3ost.ru/6002-the-danny-elfman-batman-collection.html

What I mean is that it was never realized online officially, and the copies that do exist, are usually highly compressed.

Uh. I just posted a FLAC version. And that’s been up for years - literally since 2016.

Well, there goes 100$ bucks.

Bobson Dugnutt,

Looking at the clips you have, They seem to need very thorough cleaning. If you’d like, I can do a pretty good job cleaning these clips. If you’re up for it.

They intentionally look degraded: Bobson is using TN1’s grindhouse version of ESB as a base, so he wouldn’t have to clean the added clips to match. But if you can clean those clips so he could use a Blu-ray release as the base instead, I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

I must’ve missed that other part, well I’m still here if anyone needs me.

Will I be able to put that file in VLC?

Yeah.

I really like how R2’s lights look there. Perfect. That darkening as it switches really helps.

Thanks.

Great to see R2’s light like that. I notice the Falcon traveling much closer to the Death Star in that one shot, which is cool.

The blasters. I tend not to like efforts to make the blasters in ANH or the OT look similar to subsequent depictions by adding a core, because it never seemed to blend in right and would often be too thick. This, however, is totally perfect. Looks pitch-perfect in its goal and does not at all feel out of place. Color me impressed.

R2’s light looks good, but I wonder if mimicking Adywan’s effort for Revisited back in 2007 a bit closer might help further. When R2’s light changes in Revisited, it seems to get darker during the transition, and I wonder if that helps sell that some mechanism is pulling a tab. Here, the color just changes left to right and can feel like a digital alteration. I’m not sure how else to get at what I mean.

Stellar, man!

No worries, I’ll alter the r2 light soon enough. also, the reason the lasers look good is that I didn’t re-create them, I Just brightened the core that was already there, but was terribly faded due to improper restoration.
there are also some mistakes that I just now noticed, and I’ll have to iron them out.

I’ve been wondering this too.

I’ve given you the link to the mac version many times.
You choose to ignore me for some odd reason.

ANYONE COMING TO THIS SCREENING OF ESB?

Clicked on the link and they did clarify “1997 Special Edition version”. Interesting they specifically say 1997. Wonder if this means they’re showing a 97 print? Most likely not. They’ll probably just pop the 4k blu-ray in a dvd player, but it would be cool if they showed 97. I still prefer the original version of the movie, but the 97SE at least still has Jason Wingreen’s voice and the original Emperor.

This cinema actually does 35mm screenings, hopefully, this will be the case for ESB.
I’ll update you when I watch it.
