also some Special Edition footage is included in Harmy’s Despecialized Edition and 4K77.

name some!

I don’t we’ll be getting any evidence of these incorrect claims.

Everyone has their opinions. I wouldn’t have posted this post if I was lying. But it is perfectly normal to not like my edit. : )

This isn’t a matter of opinion. it either is or isn’t.

Why so mean? Have I done something to you?

I’m not being mean, we’re just asking you to upload a screenshot.

That’s not what I meant. We have clearly added “we expect you to own an official release of Return of the Jedi before watching!”. But any fanedit of mine will not be on physical media, neither is it for sale.

What? read the rules again buddy:

pay attention to number 4.

I am not going to click that link, sorry.

Huh?

What is OTRD83?

OTRD83 is my edit of Return of the Jedi. It is like my Unaltered Cut A New Hope but this edit is mostly based on OTD83 and 4K83.
Name OTRD83 comes from:
Original Trilogy Restored & Despecialized 1983. Every clip which is taken from 4K83 is color-corrected. Every OTD83 clip is edited to match 4K83 color-corrected clips. The film video was edited by me and my friends. We also noticed 9 Special Edition pictures and sound effects in 4K83. We immediately cut them out and replaced them with 2006 Bonus DVD clips.

All Sources
2020 Blu-ray Edition
Disney+
Harmy’s Despecialized Edition v3.0
4K83
OTD83
2006 Bonus DVD

30% of this version comes from Disney+ and 2020 Blu-ray Edition.

We expect you to own an official release of Return of the Jedi before watching!!

PM me for link if you have issues with Docs file.

you’re not allowed to post direct links to your edit like that.

Technically I am. Harmy’s Despecialized Edition v3.0 Return of the Jedi also posted direct download links on Google Docs.

Just because someone else did it doesn’t make it allowed.

Return of the Jedi Revisited has been halted according to one of he’s recent updates, a New Hope revisited is he’s to be completed and released before he moves back onto Jedi.

There hasn’t been an update in five months. I wonder how he’s doing.

He’s posted on these forums over the summer, just no big update. I’m sure there’ll be an update when he’s ready

Updates are usually sparse with Ady, so I wouldn’t worry that much.

I can confirm he is still alive and well.

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade - Revisited (WIP)
Time

Hello everyone! This is a new edit I am working on, The Last Crusade: Revisited. A complete update to the last film in the Indy Series and my personal favorite. The fixes will be small but frequent and there will be little to no color adjustments.
I am experimenting with making bigger more stylistic changes but that’s still just an idea.
This will most likely be a few year’s deal as there is so much to do. And unlike DevEd, this will require lots of work and even some physical filming on my end.

Sources:
Indiana Jones and the last crusade 4K blu-ray (Downscaled to 1080p)

Tools (software Etc.):
Video/color Editing Software: Davinci Resolve 18 Studio.
Audio Editing Software: Audacity.
Noise/grain removal: Neat video 5.0

When released:
File: MKV.
Size: 40GB (ProRes) 22GB (H.264)
Resolution: 1920x1080 ProRes, 24 fps. (There will be an H.264 encode as well)
Audio Tracks: English 5.1 Mix
Subtitles: only English

Video changes:

MAIN:
.Removing HDR defects and matching them to the SDR Blu-ray
.Smoothed jump-cuts.
.Continuity fixes.
.Blue screen compositing.
.New sky/Background elements
.removing obvious Dummies
.Adjusting Brodey’s dialogue to be less stupid and to resemble the first film better.
.Fixed the Oversized Coronado explosion at the beginning of the film.
.Better Fighter plane compositing.
And many more to come…

Great News! You no longer need to fix Luke’s “Force Kick”! It’s been retconned!

https://www.gamesradar.com/star-wars-mistake-luke-skywalker-kick-return-of-the-jedi/#:~:text=The implication being%2C then%2C that,that wasn’t a mistake.

That should save you 20 minutes.

Luckily those books aren’t even really canon

They are.

well, guess what… revisited stands in its own canon so yeah… also that book seems to be a cheap excuse to fix plot issues and just random mistakes.

So? Isn’t that what most stories that take place in established timelines do already?

Yes, but the type of fulfillment this book gives doesn’t work for this sort of edit… when you see a mistake in one of these films, you don’t think “Ahh… that’s probably been explained in one of the books I’ll never read. so it’s not a mistake!”
