Is there something that can be done about these awfully boring view screens

I  was thinking that the inner most circle can represent Hoth and the outter rings representing something along the lines of fireing range of the ion cannon. You could have a image of the Star Destroyers in the system on the view screen. When she says standby it could be as the destroyers are approaching the outer ring.

The top image in the diagram below would be ideal minus all the details. More of a bright solid outline with a transparent shade as the inside.

I found a site with aton of ESB and ROTJ DVD screen captures for those of you looking for pictures.

these were the two instances I was referring two where I do no think Luke should have his Saber deactivated.

Quick thought. the scene in ROTJ where luke and vader are dueling and luke jumps up to the catwalk. I thought it would be interesting if he did not turn off his saber.

In fact in the earlier scene I think it would be better if he did not turn it off as Vader walked up the stairs.

I am looking forward to seeing a side view of the emperor hologram. Ady did such an amazing job with the front view.

I always thought it would have been cool to get a trailer that leaves out the fact that Anakin is turning to the Dark side. As if we did not know he became Vader. Make it seem as though the confrontation at the end of the movie is with Dooku.

That way if you are watching the movies in order it would kind of be a big surprise...( not really though for anyone who has heard of Star Wars)

As I have stated before I am a continuity guy.

The PT should be OT-ized for continuity, not the other way around.

CG Yoda in ESB would take away from the movie.

Starting with a mockup would be good enough for me.

Is it safe to assume that the future realeases of TPM will have color corrections. I am only guessing this from the color quality of the Star Wars In Concert. The color in those shots looks amazing.

I was just watching ESB yesterday and I thought about how cool it would be to have a digital Yoda. Now do not get me wrong, I loved the Yoda in ESB. I am all about continuity. It gave me some type of chills thinking if there was a completely digital Yoda in some future version of ESB. It would really help connect the two trilogies.

Option two...use the exact Yoda puppet from the OT and refilm the PT scenes. Option one is a little easier I think. Both would be equally amazing. 

Anyone who is good at mockups if they could possibly do a mockup of digital Yoda in a scene with Luke and \or a picture of the original trilogy yoda in a prequel scene.

Assuming the moon hasnt full nights with the reflection of Endor (see pandora-Avatar) the dish can visually stands as shape/silhouette to all the night shots. One more factor to add Endor.

Interesting idea..Where would the dialogue be from.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to add some FX to this view screen. I was thinking along the lines of the  flat outlines of star destroyers(red like the death star plans) moving toward the planet.

I think it is adding a little, but not too much. That viewscreen never made any sense to me.

Just popped in Ep 3 in my new surround sound to check it out and I have a new idea. Since Courasant is under siege maybe someone could make the planet/ city view as if it were just under an attack ie smoke stacks, fire. It just looks too clean for a city that was just full of droids.

Just a thought.
