As stated previously, we are not doing a 50G version. Compress the example scene to get an idea of what the difference would make. Very minimal.

Secondly, for the 8 frames per reel, people can clean those as preferred.

The sound from the Grindhouse version was from a print.

This is from cinch:

just checked the bluray copy and it's the l.a. fuji print audio and it is dolby-a decoded.

main reason why it sounds so crappy is the low bitrate.

Cleanup work continues on the remaining Reels. There was a sequence in Reel 3, where Luke is walking around the X-wing, after it comes out of the swamp, where some leaves and dirt were accidentally removed. Those were returned back to their original state.

Again, as far as Grindhouse goes, the only things about the film like that, was that the headers and footers were there for each reel.

The only major damage was at the heads and tails of each Reel, other than that it was fairly clean. Don't think that qualifies it as a Grindhouse.

This film actually has quite a bit of damage on it. It depends on what you view it on, and the severity of the dirt. It's there throughout most of the film.

Your tolerance might be less for it though.

A private screening of Return of the Jedi was held in a private residence July 19th. The workprint was a combination of several prints, with different reels from different parts put together.

This was basically a Grindhouse version, but in fact, most of it was very clean, with very little artifacts.

A large number of videos and screenshots were taken, and will be posted to give you an idea of what it was like.

5 people watched it, and enjoyed it very much.
