Parts of the Kodak print were being provide to Harmy for ESB.

We hope to have a better Fuji print for reference, and possibly the 16mm LPP, and another print in the near future.

Here is a low bitrate preview of some of the changes made for the SE versions.

This one is from the desert scene, where the sky was later recomposited, and an optical wipe was changed. Original on the top, SE on bottom.

NOTE : There is a lot of damage on these frames, that will take awhile to fix.

Here is a very early preview of a brief comparison of 2 of the prints.

The older bluer tinted one is on the bottom.

The top one seems to have less weave in it.

Not sure about the differences in damage, although both

have a lot at the heads and tails.

NOTE : No color correction has been done, these are basically raw scans. So they will appear dark.

Cool, looks good.

Any more shots of luke in the snow coming up? I really liked how it looked at the end of that clip :)

Thanks. We are going to concentrate on all the zoomed shots for now. We may return to those scenes later on.

Look through the screenshot comparisons to get an idea of which ones are coming up. Most are cockpit shots, although theres Luke hanging upside down in the cave, which was cropped differently.

We are previewing another print of Jedi now. We have a comparison of the first reel so far. The scan is not as blue tinted as the previous one. There might also be less gate weave on this one. Not sure about the extent of the damage on it. Will have more details once we check out the entire print.

Again, there are people associated with this group, that have never posted, so talking about IP addresses does nothing.

We're not worried, because there is no product released,or anything beyond the scope of other projects here. When we're done, we'll just close up shop, and go our own ways.

Well, enough talk about that, and we'll have some more previews of that in the future

One last, and mostly final thought about the BD-50 issues. How many people can actually burn dual layer BD, and get blanks for them at a reasonable price. Very few.

Yes, opting for a digital download option might be possible, but then the issue about limiting it to 50 Gig comes up. You have to draw the line in the sand somewhere and ours is the bluray/mkv digital 25 Gig format.

A vast majority of people have access to bluray burners and blanks, and although more have DVD drives and burners, those people won't be left out either, as we will have the vast majority of formats, and types of media covered. One less will not make a huge impact on our plans.

I don't see any of this as a competition at all, I fully support anyone trying to preserve Star Wars on any format, it is hard work, but also lots of fun.

I'm a big supporter of the team, and have provided a ton of resources to the -1 effort, and am looking forward to seeing their final results.

Agreed. Most of the people here, have no idea about the extent of co-operation, and  discussions, and groundwork that has been done in the background. It will be a fascinating story someday once all is said and done, to trace back the genesis of this project, and its development.

And for us with minimal monetary compensation or additional resources, we try to stay as self-funded as possible.

This would not be possible with a larger operation, and we prefer it that way.

We have also done all we can to maintain privacy and anonymity, so regardless of any action taken, we have many contingency plans.

So to that extent, we're not worried too much about future repercussions or reprisals, but we are not taking unnecessary risks either.
