NOTES : No audio. Some slight color correction, although there is a red tint, and yellow tint near the end.

Slight cropping.

We have some more samples from Reel 3 coming up,

along with some impressive Deflickering done to previous scenes.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Glad you are enjoying the previews, there will be a couple more.

We actually have higher quality hardware now than when we started, so some clips might benefit from this in the future. This was scanned at about 2k and scaled down.

There is some slight color correction done to the clip, but we have noticed different scenes that have red, blue and yellow tints to them.

I don't have any of the 4k scans as a reference. But in general, these were scanned at the sharpest resolution we had. Of course, the high bitrate versions of the clips might be slightly different, compared to these scaled down, and converted clips.

Here is a sample from Reel 4, from the scene where Ben, Luke, Han and the robots hide in the room from the other stormtroopers:

NOTE : There is still flicker on the walls, we are testing ways of reducing it.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Great job on the interview Harmy, and thanks for the mentions. Although one of the original team members bought the prints off of Ebay, which is what I was told. Also, you seemed unsure, but there are multiple prints which are complete, not just parts of certain scenes.

It's ok to tell people that, since they can just check on our projects also.

Thanks Harmy, we will look at the other prints, but the 2nd one should be about the same quality, its just a color shift possibly.

You haven't asked for any scenes that are at the beginning or tails of the reels, because those need work in cleaning them. The rest of the film is relatively clean. You shouldn't have to much trouble in integrating them, although the grain needs to be matched, and the colors corrected.

Agreed, 25G is arbitrary, but it is a more common standard.

The next level up would be a private 2k DCP that we make for our own internal use. Which is a few hundred Gigs, and on Hard Drives only.
