Maybe this isn't the group I should admit it to, but I've always gone Star Trek over Star Wars. Star Wars is just three movies. Star Trek is a whole universe. There's some 700+ hours of Star Trek when you figure in all six series and the ten films.

Oh, I'm sorry Adam. I wasn't saying that your comparison was stupid. Don't think I was being insulting. I meant more to say that those two films are incomparible, except in a stupid situation like this one, hating films just because they're black and white. Your comment was bang on in keeping with the stupidity of the situation.

It was surprisingly mild up here in Saskatchewan for a while. We were averaging daily highs of about -5C. But a storm came through earlier this week, and dropped about 20 cm of dry snow. We don't get the wet stuff here. We get dry snow, and then the temperature drops. It's -17C right now. But they say it's going to be a rather mild winter this year. Which is great. I remember two years ago when the temperature, with th ewind chill, dropped to a blistering -52C

That's the stupidest comparison I've heard in a while. Comparing Schindler's List to Clerks just because they're both black and white. Granted, discounting a movie just because it's black and white is stupid in its own right, so I suppose the comparison is valid contextually. Sometimes, no joke, I turn the colour on my tv down all the way just to watch other movies in black and white.

It makes sense. I mean, there's a difference between saying, "I think this because this and this and this," and "The prequels suck, the OT sucks, you suck, and you're always wrong." Discussion and argument are fine, but there are some people on this board who turn an argument into a personal attack. If you can't back up an argument, it's not an argument. If you dissolve into, "Go to hell, cocksucker," then you're helping nobody. If you have an opinion, I'm sure we all want to hear it, but be civil. Respect other people and their opinions, and give some backing to your own, rather than just insulting back and forth.

Even on the commercials, though, you can tell that a lot of the CG still looks kinda cartoony. It doesn't look any better than the plastic dewbacks.

It's funny to read these about Chuck Norris, because I just heard them a couple weeks ago. We held a date auction to raise some money for charity, and a friend of mine won a date with Chuck Norris. He was the highest bid for a copy of Delta Force and a box of microwave popcorn. He spent $54 on a $15 prize.

I do understand why you're cheering for the 'Nucks in this one, and I agree with you. It's hard to cheer for either team when I want both to do well this year. Nonetheless, I'm sticking with my wager, 3-1 Sens.
