Don't worry about it, Jag. Apology accepted. I've pissed off more than a couple people on this board the same way. If only I could reaD my posts out loud, maybe then it would work.

I don't have anything against you posting to every thread, because you don't seem anything like AWK. And since you don't claim to be from Kentucky, well, you're good in my books.

Here's a valid question, then. What made you join these forums? I ask because the bulk of the people here are either big Star Wars fans or are preservationists or that.

I'm not being serious, Jag. I'm just asking a question. There was a legitimate question in there. It's called sarcasm. You'll learn that I use it a lot, and I never use emoticons to tell you what I'm really thinking. Besides, you said you only wanted logical questions.

On the AWK comment, Jag does have an air about him, if only because he posts on every thread, but he hasn't made much commentary about Star Wars, so I think we're safe.

Besides, what good are you if you can only answer "logical questions"? Every question "truly means something". I can't see that you can "enlighten" me on matters of current events any more than a newspaper can.

Thanks for all your work, marioxb, but I'm having a problem that, it seems, nobody else is having. I demuxed the vob using pgcDemux, and then was using muxman, but it failed, telling me that "Muxman operation failed. Probably caused by excessive bitrate."

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The thing is, Jag, as Chaltab points out, people join the army and go to war to defend their nation, to defend innocent people. That doesn't mean they want to kill. And while you're right that, if everyone decided that violence wasn't necessary, then war could be averted, there will always be someone who solves their problems with violence. If someone starts the violence, you're already in a defensive position.

Nobody "deserves" to die. But violence is a part of human nature. A part of our heritage. A part of our culture. You're a little misgiven if you think you can convince everyone to stop fighting by saying "Violence is wrong, guys, see?"

Ok, one comment, one question.

First, the Immaculate Conception refers not to Mary being impregnated by God, but that Mary was born immaculate (without original sin).

Second, the question. Do you really need seperate posts to answer each question? Boosting your post count is one thing. Posting three or four times in a row in your own thread is another.

Well, no, compared to last year, it's not much different, but compared to ten years ago, even, there have been some significant changes.

I agree, though, that it doesn't really matter. It's still a blast to watch.

Anyone else watching? What do you think of the course changes? Cheering for anyone?

I'm cheering for Weir and Ames, both Canadian, but my sentimental favourite is Phil Mickelson. He's always been my favourite golfer, and I'd love to see him take it again this year.

But maybe that's the problem. Everyone's talking that with the lengthening of the holes and the narrowing of fairways, there are only a handful of players that could actually win anymore. When you're hitting 6- and 7-irons on to greens originally designed for a SW, well, it's not much wonder there are so few birdies this year. I still like the course, and it's going to be a great weekend. I guess we'll just see.

I ahve to agree with CO. Had Lucas been able to make us love the PT characters as much as the OT, then the similarities would probably make the whole saga incredibly strong in a Circle of Life sorta way. Instead, we say, "Hey, neat....meh"
