My daughter and I are going to see Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 tomorrow night.

YAY!!!

My daughter and I just got back from GOTG Vol. 2 and it was very cool. I wish more of the Marvel movies could be as well done. There is something else I noticed that should be said without giving away anything … one character has some CGI used to portray their younger selves and it blows away the CGI Tarkin & Leia by miles. Why they could NOT do such a good job for Star Wars but they can for Marvel is beyond me. It is apparently fairly easy as they showed with Tony Stark in Civil War.

We enjoyed this immensely.

From what I’ve read, the CG wasn’t as hard after putting a lot of makeup on him, and it looked more real in the end because of it.

Comics. (Not the comedians)
Time

Saw a similar post on the last page when I opened this thread, so I’m posting about this because, eh, why not?

This was the first comic I ever owned.

My kindergarten teacher gave it to me, I think she said they once belonged to her nephew and she put them in a “treasure chest,” (box of assorted small toys and books for kids to pick from when they were good boys and girls who weren’t obnoxiously conscious during nap time). I got a few more that year, but they tore up/got lost years ago and I can’t remember them well enough to find the same issues online anywhere. I think either Toyman or Myxyzptlk might’ve been the villain of one of them, but who knows?

The "Share about your career/career plans, hobbies, passions, etc., and what inspired you" thread.

I am also a junior in high school, and I currently have no set career plans because the future is terrifying. Filmmaking would be fun I guess, I’ve made some stupid shorts for school projects before (and am working on a not-stupid short documentary right now). I also like writing, despite being terrible at it and abandoning every story I try to write for one reason or another.

Random Thoughts

Speaking of X-Men TAS, I found an old Disney store gift card I still haven’t spent and I am considering getting an X-Men TAS DVD from their site with it. However, having just watched an episode on an old tape, the animation wasn’t as good as I remembered. I didn’t watch much of X-Men when I was younger, so maybe I’ve just been too spoiled by the DC shows of around the same time and the decade or so following.

my theory is that Rey was cloned from Luke’s hand, hence why the moment she touches Lukes lightsaber she has the flashback back to cloudcity moments before Luke loses his hand

very interesting…

Now I hope Rey and Luke get kinky together. The OT flirted with twincest; time to up the ante with intergenerational selfcest.

Taking “Go f*** yourself” to a new level.

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place

I added music to my iPhone through my computer, realized I forgot to add cover art, deleted the music from my phone, added the cover art, but now I can’t re-add the music because iTunes on my computer says it’s all still on my phone (now with an exclamation mark!), despite the phone music app disagreeing.

EDIT: Music works now, but cover art still doesn’t show up on the phone. Hm… This probably shouldn’t bother me as much as it does.

Hope there is a live stream and plenty of Original Unaltered Trilogy talk.

I wonder if they will show the movie?

If George is coming, I doubt it would be unaltered. I can imagine them playing an SE, and loudly voicing their disapproval at the many of the changes, all with George in the room with them to hear their hatred for his destruction of their work. Maybe then something would finally click in his head.

UFO's & other anomalies ... do you believe?
Time

I think that somewhere waaaaayyyyyyy out there, a species could have interstellar travel, maybe even better than ours, but they’re too far away for us to meet yet. I’m hopeful we won’t go extinct before meeting them or other aliens, because I definitely think it will happen someday (if humans live long enough). I don’t expect to meet any in my lifetime, however, or for my children or their children to meet any, but someday some human(s) will.
