Wonder Woman
All superhero movies are cancelled. All the hero-movie-universe movie stuff was created to bring this movie, they no longer need to exist, this will never be topped by Marvel Studios or DC or anyone. This is second only to Superman (1978) in terms of hero-comic movies. I love this movie.

Wonder Woman (2017)- Who would have suspected that DC would finally get it right with their fourth movie? Great stuff here - a charismatic leading lady, a colorful supporting cast, a touching love story, and a well-developed screenplay with gasp clear structure and actual set-ups and pay-offs despite the occasional cringey dialogue.
It was also not to see a superhero film, which isn’t Disney-fied (read: everyone joking all the time, faceless bad guys, endless actions, no real developed dialogue scenes, and characters with love interests but no sexuality). Here’s a movie instead in the tradition of Raimi’s first two Spider-Man films, Iron Man, Batman Begins, Logan, and, perhaps most pertinently, Superman '78.
I think it’s the best superhero film in recent memory and keep in mind, I walked in expecting that I’d probably hate it. Go check it out (for the record, my critique of this being an excellent movie has nothing to do with it ALSO being the first female superhero film, directed by a female).

Logan (2017)

Having only seen the Black and White version, I have no desire to ever watch it in color. I feel like the color version would draw attention away from the character and towards the spilling of blood and whatnot. That, and the movie feels almost dreamlike, as if it, and Logan himself, has already faded into memory.
I keep forgetting to watch the new episodes. I watched the series opener, and liked it alright, but haven’t kept up since.
Since reading Superman: Secret Identity, I’ve decided to depict Kryptonian abilities as mostly psionic in nature (heat vision as a form of pyrokinesis, x-ray vision and super hearing as forms of clairvoyance, etc.). To reflect this new direction, I’ve altered some of the descriptions of Clark & co’s powers.

Also, I guess it’s too late at this point to hope for a Legion appearance 😉. In seriousness, keep up the good work!
Maybe it’s just a premonition of the Chinese version of the film.
Such an animated series should’ve been made in the '90s, preferably with Bruce Timm as showrunner, before the PT tainted the mythos and CG and Flash came to dominate everything.

I wonder how long it’ll be before Ridley Scott makes a prequel/sequel/sidequel to Legend that retcons Darkness, the fairies, the goblins, etc. into being extraterrestrials with sufficiently advanced technology, probably with ties to the Prometheus/Alien Universe. Lord knows preserving the film’s mysticism and grandeur come a distant second to Ridley’s need to profit off nostalgia since he’s too much of a worn-out old fart to create any new stories worth a damn.
I was going to counter this by mentioning The Martian, but it was a book first so he didn’t make that story either, but he did a good job adapting it IMO.

I mean, I’m pretty young, but I’m pretty sure I at least understood the difference between fiction and reality when I first saw Star Wars, and I couldn’t have been much older than you were when you describe having your realization.

Lucas named the protagonist of the OT after himself, so it’s safe to say he’s never been a creative character namer.
I wouldn’t call them perfect modern movies or anything, but I do quite like the first two Raimi Spider-Movies. Of course, I only own the first one on VHS so if I watched it in a modern format I’d probably like it more, and it’s been several years since watching the second one.

Upon reflection it seems this person lives in Asia, but I have a hard time believing Scooby Doo cartoons haven’t been shown all over the planet. I watched Scooby dubbed into Portuguese when I was in Brazil back in the early 80’s. Unfortunately, it was the Scrappy Doo season where they ditched Fred, Daphne, and Velma.
Supernatural is crossing over with Scooby-Doo? That wonderful show does not deserve to be tainted by the likes of Supernatural!

It’ll be my first time with this one, and I plan to watch the theatrical cut, but I’ve heard from some that the Director’s cut is better. Should I go with the theatrical?
The problem there is that I’m pretty sure they’ve already declared it as being in the Prime timeline, but it just looks soooooo Kelvin-y, which I would be totally fine with if it was supposed to be Kelvin-y, but I’m pretty sure it’s not.
I think it looks good. Klingons aren’t good, and I cannot make myself do the mental gymnastics necessary to believe it could possibly take place pre-TOS, but other than that, it looks like alright.
