I’ve barely used it since they shut down their message boards. Sure, it was a troll infested wasteland, but occasionally there were informative posts.

Since then, they’ve disabled the user’s ability to selectively search through their own ratings (You can use advanced title search to do that, but it’s a tedious pain in the ass.) and you can no longer sort user reviews by preference; they’re all automatically and permanently sorted by “helpfulness” now.

Join Letterboxd.

The community there is awful.

Meh. I’m mostly just trying to get more than the one follower I have. I get lonely.

POST REDACTED

Wtf. Who are you?

Just a guy who follows you on Letterboxd. Sorry to freak you out.

Careful Jason. Popcorn might be dangerous. Could make you thirsty and need a Coke which, over the course of 2h 31m, could send you running for the Jon.

So, a coke thirst… and then the popcorn. Nice one, ta 😃

Use the empty large Coke cup to solve your bladder problem. Easy pee-sy.

FTFY

A lot of fun so far. It also amuses me how the writer apparently couldn’t decide whether the Wookiee home is “Kazhyyyk” or “Hazhyyyk”.

Farther into this, I began to realize that these weren’t in a newspaper comic strip format. Evidently this book reprints Dark Horse reprints of newspaper comics with panels and art modified to fit comic book pages rather than strips of newspaper, as well as being colorized. I guess I should’ve sought the IDW collection rather than this Marvel collection, as the IDW Trek newspaper comic volumes are superb. O well.

Artemis by Andy Weir

It’s not bad, I guess, but after The Martian, it’s definitely disappointing. I’m determined to finish it, though, as I haven’t finished enough books lately.

The DC Extended Universe

I thought it was mediocre at best. I’m glad it wasn’t gratingly pretentious like some other DC efforts of late, but it was just… empty. I felt nothing. I didn’t care about any of the characters or their predicaments, I didn’t care about anything. I also thought it was ugly. I don’t understand praise for it’s “color” because it was just a dreary hodgepodge. Then again, I guess us DC fans have been so starved for quality lately that many took this piece of stale bread and praised it as a feast.

Anyway, if you’d have told past me growing up on the JL cartoons of the 2000s that a real, big-budget, live action film would be released and it wouldn’t automatically be my favorite movie of all time, I wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are. I can forgive a lot in DC movies as long as I feel something (see: Wonder Woman), but Justice League was emotionally hollow for me.

I’m glad some people seem to enjoy it, but I felt nothing.
