Terrible DVD/Blu-ray Cover Art
Time

The following is not a terrible cover, I just think it’s kinda funny.

DESIGNER 1: Okay, we’ve narrowed this down to two posters, which one should we use for the actual product?

DESIGNER 2: Yes.

DESIGNER 1: Okay, now we need to pick a review quote for the back that draws in potential buyers who may be daunted by the fact that this is a sequel to a 35 year old film.

DESIGNER 2: What about this review from Variety?

DESIGNER 1: You’re a genius!

I’m watching MST3K The Touch of Satan and I recognized a name in the opening credits of the movie: Director of Photography Jordan S. Cronenweth. Eleven years after shooting The Touch of Satan, he shot Blade Runner.

Last Jedi retailer exclusive packaging for BD (and 4k!) leaks. Hopefully the standard release just has theatrical release art as with TFA and RO.

Here’s the standard art:

Wtf is a “multi screen edition” and is there a normal edition without the lame border? Also, the last two SW movies included a DVD with the Blu-Ray, so why stop now? Is it just no longer worth it for them to print more DVDs?

Star Wars "Official" Canon Content Thread

The main Star Wars comic is pretty good as well, but apparently it goes down hill, especially in the art department.

I quit picking it up after issue 12 because I thought the story got dumb, but Stuart Immonen (Superman: Secret Identity) was the artist on #8-12 and it was fantastic. I can see how it would be downhill from there.

Brazil (1985) - 4.5/5

The Hidden Fortress (1958) - 5/5

Could you tell me a little bit more about Brazil?

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh… Monty Python’s 1984? Yeah, I’ll go with that.

Does that have anything to do with George Orwell’s 1984 novel? Thanks, by the way!

Yeah, that what I was saying. It’s not actually an adaptation or anything, but shares antitotalitarian themes.
