I mean, I get your DC point lovelike, and agree with it, but that’s your issue with Marvel? I don’t think that’s what backfired on them. Constant renumberings and big dumb events, sure, but superheroes are, by definition, warriors of social justice.
I haven’t seen the reboot, but I have no strong feelings on it or II.
United Airlines flight attendent.
I even like Ghostbusters II. I’m that guy.
Hey, there’s II of us!
FTFY
- Stalker (1979)
Yes.
- Triumph of the Will (1935)
No. I watched this. I sat through the whole thing. Believe me when I say there is nothing redeeming about this piece. Nazis are, and always were scum, of course, but even without the evilness of them, this movie is constant marching and yelling. Marching. And yelling. Marching. Three hours. Just. Marching. And yelling.
There is nothing, nothing worth seeing here.
I didn’t keep the link, but from what I read, the dog was in an approved bag and all other rules were followed for the dog to be able to stay with the passenger, who was supposed to be allowed to keep the dog under her seat. The dog was also a puppy, less than a year old, and it probably just suffocated in the overhead compartment, which doesn’t get much air because it wasn’t designed to store living things.
Don’t the physical releases all come with a code for the Movies Anywhere version?
Correct. That’s kinda the point of the “MULTI-SCREEN EDITION” label they’re putting on everything.
ah man, i need to pre-order my disc!
i was gonna get the steelbook from best buy to match the rest of my new movies, but they are only shipping the 4K disc, the 1080p you need to pickup in store, and none of the local stores have it? what the heck! must be pushing that 4K disc pretty hard. Maybe i’ll shell out the extra bucks so that i can have it delivered 😄
I ordered the blu-ray version for home delivery, but I did it back in December. I might cancel and upgrade to future proof, but I shot my Star Wars budget on Figuarts Last Jedi Luke and Figuarts Chewbacca.
So I only have my lazy self to blame huh… That’s not surprising.
4K steel book ordered, and will be shipping to my house. AHHHHHHHHH i cannot wait.
Actually, it’s shipping to MY house.
Having seen The Last Jedi for the second time after not being sure if I liked it or not for the first time, I hate to say that I do not like this film. Seeing it again just showed its problems more and while I really wanted to like these, I have to say the ST isn’t for me, just like the prequels. While it has its moments that actually are pretty good, there are stuff that are cringeworthy, even PT level. Meh. Of course I’ll go see Episode IX but I couldn’t care less what happens, they could all just die and it wouldn’t matter one bit.
It’s not enough to not like it, you must sign a petition begging Disney to wipe it from canon to prove your zeal!!

Reylo pisses me off.
If only I could post the really steamy stuff. . . .

Reylo pisses me off.

the pt is gay
I agree too, but I also think the villain was right, so what do I know?
Don’t you know Disney® Death Squads™ broke into my home, burned all my Legends books, and replaced them all with TLJ DVDs?
Well the left leaning bias is on full display here. I have no doubt if a major Republican politician claimed to be part Native American and didn’t look anything like a Native American, people in here would be saying take a DNA test or fess up.
I don’t know if people in here would be saying that but I’m pretty sure there would be plenty of mocking.
On the topic of bias and arguments, this article on “progressive hostility” looks compelling. I’ve only read a little of it but I’ve heard similar complaints from people I know.
When I disagree with a conservative friend or colleague on some political issue, I have no fear of speaking my mind. I talk, they listen, they respond, I talk some more, and at the end of it we get along just as we always have. But I’ve discovered that when a progressive friend says something with which I disagree or that I know to be incorrect, I’m hesitant to point it out.
truth.
Ah yes, only Conservatives are rational. Yay.
that is not what I said.
You quoted an article that said that, and proclaimed it “truth.”
I quoted part of the article and proclaimed it “truth”.
The part I quoted does not say that only Conservatives are rational.
Let’s look back:
When I disagree with a conservative friend or colleague on some political issue, I have no fear of speaking my mind. I talk, they listen, they respond, I talk some more, and at the end of it we get along just as we always have.
In short, Conservatives are rational.
But I’ve discovered that when a progressive friend says something with which I disagree or that I know to be incorrect, I’m hesitant to point it out.
Or; I won’t argue with progressives because I fear they are not rational.
As “tongues” is the French word for “flip flop sandals”, I’m a little bit confused with this religious concept.
May I say that Jesus was speaking in flip flops ?

BREAKING: Invisible Jesus takes world by storm!

ICYMI, my opinion after a second viewing.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I still think it’s the coolest thing since Kurosawa. Go suck a laser sword, fanboys. 😛

Significant improvement in this latter half, but I’m still not the biggest fan of this mini-series overall. I think I’ll look into the 80s O’Neil run, though, and I’ll probably like those comics more anyway.
It’s not. A local university gets some movies early and shows them for free.
Charles Bernstein’s score for A Nightmare on Elm Street is pure perfection.
Is impure perfection possible?
