Finally finished Carter a couple nights ago. The season was actually pretty good until the underwhelming ending. Also the mini-cliffhanger that felt like a desperate attempt to get enough interest for another season.

First two episodes of Daredevil S2 were good. I hear it is really supposed to pick up steam later on, but I was surprised by a lot of negative reviews I’m seeing.

That “shipping” comment hurt my eyes a bit.

Maybe they’ll kill Indy in this one. And maybe next year, Deckard will die in Blade Runner 2 and we’ll have the Trifecta of Harrison Ford Deaths

When BvS comes out, should it be included in these rankings?

Trust me Frink, I’ve told him several times. But he says the same of me for not liking it or the Star Wars PT.

FILMS
II - What else can I say that hasn’t been said?
VI - Wonderful swan song, and actually quite good on its own.
I - Underrated, but maybe I’m biased bc it introduced me to Trek
III - Could’ve been really good, a few things held it back.
ST09 - Honestly, it’s probably better than two of the four above it, I just can’t bring myself to rate it above them.
FC - At times it seems to dour
IV - Funny the first time, not very re-watchable
GEN - It’s half good sometimes, but it’s pretty sloppy.
V - Out-of-body experience in bad, beating out the last two because at least it is some kind of experience
NEM - dream rape and dune buggies were just what Star Trek needed!
INS - Nothing about this movie works.

The “Odd-Number” curse is silly.

ID was a total mess when I saw part of it with a friend. He always gushes about how awesome it is, and doesn’t ever give any reasons beyond: Explosions! Boobs! The guy from Sherlock!

Giant, irremovable stickers were placed on my Blu Ray case for the theatrical version of Return Of The King. One on top of the other.

Thanks FYE, I don’t know how I lived without stickers like these.

Yikes! Glad all my Trek movie discs have the original poster art on them.

There are various shots of Imperial Officers getting shot that were censored. They cut a few frames off of the impact of the blast. Yeah, the MPAA obsesses over petty things like that. There’s an extended cut of The Wolverine that was going to be R, but they took out a few frames here and there and it was suddenly PG-13.

This isn’t really about covers, but I recently bought the theatrical versions of LOTR on Blu and of the three movie discs, only Return has a picture and the other two are practically blank. Even stranger, two of the special features discs have pictures, and only Fellowship’s special features disc lacks.

EDIT: Just remembered that my DVD of Fellowship that came with the Lego game even has a picture, but they couldn’t be bothered to put it on Blu? Sigh

I don’t see any prequel remakes happening anytime soon. Or ever really, unless they do a full reboot of the entire saga.

I’d like to see some good fan-film makers take a stab at it. Like those guys that made the recent Darth Maul fan-film that was better than the entire PT.

Spielberg only made Crystal Skull because George kept begging and he eventually gave in. I’ve seen interviews and behind the scenes videos and you can tell Spielberg really didn’t want to be there.

Also, most people know what E.T. is. Its really quite difficult to find anyone (in person) that has ever even heard of Blade Runner. And most people I know only like Tron Legacy and don’t care for the original, which is a shame.

I don’t actually know why I like 4 so much, I just do. I considered putting it first. Also, I love these books. Even the lowest ones are still quite good.

So, a film made to create an in-universe excuse for a reboot? Sounds like Star Trek '09. Someone call Abrams! I bet Lucasfilm has him on speed-dial.

But we really don’t know if Lando is alive or not, and we may never know, so Schrödinger’s Lando; Poe both is and is not “the galaxy’s most dashing man.”
