I have seen polls and studies that all seem to agree on one thing - that no one, even African-Americans, agree on what to call them(selves). I’m happy to use whatever term is accepted but there’s no consensus.

I actually know some that are totally fine with their white friends calling them “n*ggas,” and others that would never even use the term themselves. There really isn’t a consensus, at least not where I’m from.

…because Bane wasn’t portrayed in a similar way. Vader didn’t cry about Palpatine like Bane cried about Talia. Vader actually wanted to rule the galaxy. Bane didn’t actually have any goals for himself, he only cared about Talia. The entire film built up Bane: the self-righteous agent of judgement, and the finale gave us Bane: he-likes-a girl-and-that’s-his-entire-character.
