Are there respecialized versions of Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi VHS works as well?

The SW 97 Special Edition is the only VHS set I have left in my media collection. I’ve refrained from purchasing further SW sets, especially the new “official” bluray sets that added such weird changes - it would awesome to simply have the 97 editions on bluray alonside the Despecialized versions. I was going to try straight converting the VHS films to bluray myself, but I’m afraid of ruining it so it would be far more ideal to download these instead.

Is there any copy of ROTJ v.2.5 that is not 19.79 GB? like a compressed one? or in MPEG-4.

Learn the ways of Ripbot264, Handbrake, Vidcoder, MeGui, etc… and make it yourself.

What I meant if there is a more portable-by-USB type of ROTJ 2.5 like 7.15 Gigs or less.

Again, “Learn the ways of Ripbot264, Handbrake, Vidcoder, MeGui, etc… and make it yourself.”

@ROFLRICK - So when you compress movies with those settings, about how big are your files, generally? I only ask because while I can play video files on my BD player via USB, it only has a 4 GB limit.

That’s the problem with the NTFS file size limit… The files are generally around 2.8gb to 3.0gb, less if I remove the 5.1 audio track.

You mean the FAT32 file size limit.

Hopefully, whoever uploaded that 720p will put a higher bitrate 1080i out there; luckily, the 720p looks pretty damn good.

They said in there NFO that they are planning on uploading a 1080i version but it would take them a ‘while’.

This confuses me. Why would they need “a while” when they clearly sourced the 720p from it. Just upload the original file and it’s done.

“Date: 2016-01-18”
“1080i will come, checking to see if we can get a better
source…” (NFO)

When someone downloads it from wherever Harmy uploads it to then uploads it themselves. So it just depends on how long it takes them to download it, really.

Ah. I thought Harmy just did a direct drop to the main sites. But that explains why the various versions there are not all uploaded by the same user. Makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification. Back to patiently waiting…

No need to wait, it’s at Tehparadox right now.

No it’s not. I checked.

PM sent.
