Hi Everyone,
I was wonder if i could get an myspleen invite so that I can grab a copy of the Despecialized Editions.
Thank you!

Spleen is closed to invites permanently due to too many hit and runs but I can hook you up with the DEED.

ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. Several admins/mods messaged me over there that it will be open to invites again eventually.

I know you can find a laserdisc rip on Rutracker.

I found two there.
Search: lion king ldrip (which is an xvid avi)
-and-
lion king laser (which is a laserdisc transfer to dvd5)

There’s also an MKV which appears to be identical quality to the DVD5 version and, unlike the DVD5, is anamorphic. I’d take that over the xvid avi.

Yep, my post above is outdated, there are new lion king torrents on rutracker…

Wait, is O Brother on Blu screwed up?! I didn’t know, it’s been ages since I watched it…

It’s got a whole new grade. Deakins supervised it and it looks good (and I think suites the photography better), but it has less of an aggressive sepia tone on the landscape, which is what O Brother was known for, being one of the first films graded entirely with a DI. It’s definitively worth preserving the DVD’s colors.

Download the HDTVrip from rutracker or Usenet then…

Hardcoded in the TE bluray but not the EE bluray, I believe there are EE only scenes that are softsubs only, IIRC.

My EE Blu-ray collection has hardcoded Elvish subs.

Interesting, seems like the NA release has hardsubs but other reigons do not.

I read in a forum that the USA BD’s have hardcoded Elvish subs but the European BD’s don’t.
